Based on the conversation with Shane, and the fact Water Heaters Now is a Rheem certified "Pro Plumber", decided to proceed with Water Heaters Now. Even though we were not under an emergency as old water heater was still working, Shane and company were able to come out the next day. The installer, Jake, arrived on-time, was very professional, did a great job explaining the replacement process, explaining the maintenance aspects of the new water heater, and leaving the work area in very clean condition. "Josiah was punctual. He did a fine job He replaced a few feet of plastic water lines with copper pipe and secured it to a piece of wood to hold it tight I had noticed when the washer filled with water the plastic water tubing would jump around. This secured it ! He put in a new faucet. It looks very nice. He got it all done in a timely manner. He was very pleasant and explained what needed to be done and we agreed. We also had him flush our water heater too we were very pleased with his work."

"Shaun and Steve from Boevaag Plumbing called/texted to let me know that they were running ahead of schedule. This worked out great and they were able to start about an hour before the estimated starting time. On an outside spigot that was leaking Shaun showed me how one nut just needed tightening. Leak gone. I had a valve that ran to the kitchen refrigerator. I assume this valve was likely added by the previous homeowner, as it was unfortunately placed after the shutoff valve for one of the outside spigots (so when I shut it off for the winter, no water to the fridge). I had them move the refrigerator valve (they put in a new one) before the outside shutoff valve. A shutoff valve for another outside spigot wouldn't fully shut off. They replaced both of the shutoff valves with much better handle valves (rather than the knob valves that were there). The pipes to the water softener needed to be tweaked to line up with the new softener. They did that, hooked up the new softener, ran it though all of its cycles and showed me how to use it. Shaun also gave me advice on maintaining the unit. The main waste pipe had a joint that had failed, Steve and Shaun replaced the necessary pieces and everything looks nice and sealed once again. The guys took a little under three hours to get my long list of items accomplished. They were both professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I felt the price charged was very reasonable. I would not hesitate to recommend Boevaag Plumbing and will most certainly use them again."

"Good and Bad. I had decided to replace my front porch light fixture and replace and repair the light fixture on on outdoor pole in my back yard. I also wanted to repair or replace my front doorbell. This was right at the start of the shutdowns due to COVID-19 so I was having a lot of trouble even finding someone willing to come to my home. I also was starting to work from home for the first time when I scheduled service. My appointment was on May 7th. Joe, the technician that came out arrived on time and was friendly and professional. I explained what I needed and had already purchased the light fixtures, solar monitor for the light pole and a doorbell and chime. Joe looked over everything and determined that it would be too difficult and costly to repair the original doorbell and I decided to purchase a Honeywell Plug-In wireless doorbell from him. Joe gave me three quotes for the work I needed. The lowest quote was $861.00 and the other two quotes were in the range of $1,200 to $1,500 dollars. I owed Joe a $60.00 fee just for coming out to give me a quote and with my anxiety over the virus and working from home and the trouble with getting anyone to come out I decided to have him do the work. While doing the work Joe also sold me a can (for $100.00) for the porch light fixture. The work took around 2 hrs and my bill was $961.00. I knew that I paid too much for the repair but I wasn't sure how much I was overcharged. I did call the company and was given a $25.00 credit that I qualified for but forgot to ask for during the visit. I've checked online and the doorbell I purchased sells for around $50 before markup. I also recently worked with a company called Handy.com and when I asked them for a quote for the same work (not including doorbell) I was quoted $141.00 for the work which they expected would take 2 hrs. Randy's did good work for me but I know I was severely overcharged for this repair. I know that I cannot afford to hire them again without a better breakdown and explanation of their pricing."
