"A few weeks ago our gas hot water heater died. We had never used Valdel Plumbing before but were extremely impressed with the entire experience. We found them on Angie's list as being highly rated and there's a reason for it. We called them at 7:30 in the morning and by 11:30 AM had hot water and that's not exaggerating! Their specialist, Steve Ault was awesome and very knowledgeable. He quickly got to work dismantling the old unit. He even had a new heater and all the parts on his truck so there wasn't even a delay in waiting for parts or a new heater to be delivered. He also installed a drip pan, a pressure regulator and re-routed some of the exhaust piping for better venting. The price they charged seemed to be in line with the work performed. Obviously, based on our first time experience, we'd highly recommend Valdel and Steve for any residential plumbing work. Thanks Valdel!"

I've been an electrician for nearly 10 years and I'm an owner-operated company based out of Quakertown. There is no job too small for me. A handful of jobs I take care of are outlets, switches, lights, ceiling, bath, and attic fans, electric car chargers, underground electric for outbuildings, electrical panels, service upgrades, troubleshooting and more.

"They came out and removed our old furnace and replaced it with a new 95% direct vent 2 stage energy efficient lenox furnace. We had problems with our chimney as well which weren't worth fixing. We had an estimate first, and the guy was very helpful. We had some issues with our gas forced air furnace (it didn't like to work in the cold),  and our chimney wasn't venting properly, which is very dangerous.  The guy who did the estimate was very informative and down to earth. He told me I needed to have the chimney checked out before they could install a new heater. So we did. By the time we would have paid for a new regular furnace to be installed and have our chimney repaired, it would have cost over twice as much. So, going with the more efficient direct vent furnace was the more economical way to go. The installers were great. I'm just happy the basement is clean and the house will be nice and warm this winter! Also, don't forget to call and ask the office staff for rebate information. Another company had come to give an estimate and it was just as much for the install of their lower end, chimney vented furnace as CHUD's install of the direct vent furnace. Very nice company. Totally professional. We still have a chimney, but we don't use it, and that's fine with me!"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Worcester, PA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
