After the initial work was done, I wasn't "happy" and had questions about how and why things were done, within 24 hours of voicing my concerns Tony, Ryan and Chris were at my front door. They explained the changes and showed me a problem I still had but will be solved when I have my new flooring installed. 2 day later Chris and his crew (I wasn't home, so I am not sure who all came with him). came out and resolved my concerns and went beyond what I expected them to do."

"Our house had a water damage that ruined much of the drywall and floor on the first floor and the basement. For such a big repair job, I carefully looked up the reviews and recommendations from Angie's list and talked to 3 contractors that have the highest ratings. AOM was one of the three. David, the owner of AOM, quickly came to our house, assessed the damage, explained to me what need to be done, showed great empathy to our loss and current situation (having to stay in hotel waiting to go back to our house), and put a very competitive bid (about 2/3 the bid of another contractor). We picked them and signed the contract. AOM uses Trello, a cloud-based project tracking system that software companies often use, to effectively and promptly communicate task description and updates to all workers and house owners. AOM workers are professional, hard working, and friendly. For such a big project, expectedly there were some hiccups and AOM had to juggle ours with their other on-going projects. David kindly explained to me various aspects of the repair work and promptly fixed any faults that we identified. I became to completely trust David's professional skill and that he would treat our house like his. Several nights and weekends David came to work late so that we could move back to normal life as soon as possible. In the end, we are very happy with our remodeled house. I sincerely recommend David and AOM for any house remodeling and restoration job."

"I really didn't think that someone could come in and tear out our old bathroom and put an entire new bathtub with all new plumbing fixtures. But they made it happen. Great quality and very nice people to work with."

"Once I sent her all the measurements, it took her a little while to get the options back to me.  Overall, they're good designs.  However, they're very simplistic and give general ideas for space planning.  I was hoping to have a better idea for sizes of furniture for the space and some variations on staging.  
Jill was very responsive when I did have a question.  I'm not sure how helpful it is to have a virtual design done.  If we lived in similar cities, I'd probably use her again for help with additional designs.

"This is difficult as 2 companies became involved and I give different ratings for each. 
They were prompt and work was I postponed for the remaining two.  However, when I called back a year or so later to schedule, was told that the firm had been taken over by American Crawlspace, Orland Park.  They filled the 2 recommended at much higher price, as well as a 3rd which has not held up.   Did not return my call at first - eventually came back and offered to do more work at additional $800.  Did not guarantee previous work and offered no guarantee for any subsequent work.  I do not think they have a clue what the underlying problem may be.  They promised to follow up but have not.  I was satisfied with original company but would not recommend American Crawlpace

"It was fine. The original design didn’t meet my needs based on the information I provided them. However, they revised the plans which worked out better for me. They were able to get the first draft to me pretty quickly."

"Patrick came by to clean out a catch basin located in a crawl space beneath a housing addition that had not been cleaned out for many years.  We in fact were not even aware of it's existence until recently, and were interested in getting it cleaned out as quickly as possible.  I spoke to Patrick on a Friday, and he advised he would be available to come clean out the basin on the following Wednesday.  Although Patrick was approximately 40 minutes late, he was apologetic and began working on the issue right away.  He had two other employees with him, and they quickly discovered our basin was not only difficult to access but very full.  Patrick went to great lengths to make sure that the basin was cleaned and safe to continue using.  He actually had to climb down into the basin to remove enough material, and I really appreciated him taking the time to do what he said he would, despite it being a nasty job.
Patrick also recommended I have the catch basin closed off because of its outdated technology and the fortunate close proximity of my kitchen drain to the main drain line running through the basement floor.  He took the time to explain to me what that job would entail and why it was a good idea.  I felt like he was looking out for the interests of me, the homeowner, and did not feel like he was just trying to sell me something more.  It is something that I will consider and most likely do in the future, and I'm glad he brought it to my attention.  I would definitely recommend Patrick and will use him again."
