"I filled out a form on Angi about an AC problem, and Calfo was one of the first to call. The call was initially a little bit confusing because they answered the phone by name-dropping HomeAdvisor, but not the name of their company, until I asked where they were calling from. Regardless, my AC wasn't working and they were the first one to get a technician to my location. The technician quickly made a determination as to the repairs to be made. The price was significantly higher than I expected for a simple capacitor replacement, but it was Friday afternoon and it was hot outside. The technician showed me the estimate on their iPad, then clicked through to another screen where I signed. I asked the technician to perform the immediate repairs necessary and give me a quote for full system replacement. Before getting my quote for full system replacement, the technician asked me to fill out my information on a form. As I was filling out the form, I saw that SSN was being asked for, and noticed that it was a credit application. This was not made clear to me before I was asked to fill it out. I declined to fill it out further because I was not interested having a hard-pull on my credit report when I simply wanted a quote. When I received a signed copy of the invoice for the repair work performed (which I didn't get until I asked about it the next day), they had included an additional charge that wasn't mentioned in the price I was given in person, and one that I certainly did not see when I signed. Despite this, my signature was inserted on the bottom of this electronically generated form. Given my experience with their repair service, I am not going to hire Calfo for replacement of my AC system. Also, their quote lists minimal detail compared to other quotes I have received. Quotes they provided don't have any details about the specific parts replaced, nor do they mention any particular brands or model of equipment. Their prices were also higher than price ranges others quoted, and given the surprise repair charges and lack of detail in the quote, I do not have a good impression of their honesty."

Home Crafters are very professional.  They were the first, after I had called 20-25 roofers, to actually call me back and give me an estimate.  They told me that they would not be the cheapest but they would do the work by the end of the year like I wanted and do a professional job. 

The main roof of the house had cracked shingles and looked ragged.  There were no leaks nor evidence of water leakage inside.  It had 2 layers of shingles on it.

Their estimate included:
- removal of existing material to roof decking,
- inspect deck and replace boards if required for an extra charge,
- Install 30 lb roofing felt,
- install 30 linear feet of ice and water sheild,
- install all new flashing,
- install new 30 year shingles,
- Install new aluminum fascia in front,
- install new aluminum gutter in front.

Total cost was to be $ 8225.00. 

The main reason I did not hire them was that I could not get over the fact that installing the gutter added $ 900.00 to the total cost. I thought gutter installation should have been cheaper.  It turns out that if I would have hired them I would have had the work done by December like I wanted instead of January-February.

I would definitely give these guys a chance in the future. They seem like real professionals.

"Everything Mike said he would do, he did. The old caulking needed removed first, and that was a lot of prep work, especially on the second story windows. We went a little over the project estimate, but that was due to the amount of prep time it took. No mess was left after the work. Communication was excellent all the way. "I used him twice.  The first time he came in, he did a good job.  The next time I used him, I paid him but he didn't really provide all the things he was supposed to provide.  He was supposed to come back to give me some side light on the side walk but he didn't come back and do that.  He didn't do what I contracted him to do.  He did replace an electric meter for me but that really wasn't what I had asked him to do.  He even removed something from the front of the house.  He said that it was defective and I never heard from him again.  I was very disappointed with him.  He may have moved because I think he was moving when I used him.  His name is Rey Waters and he is a registered home electrician.  I was not very pleased and not happy with him.  He didn't follow through and that's not professional to me.  The worst thing was that he didn't even respond to me just to say sorry.  There's this part that it's my fault because I paid him before doing the work.  I should have let him finish the work before paying him so it was partly my fault."
