"Eric was prompt and arrived when he said he would. He did a great job cleaning the firebox. Actually, he did it better than the worker who did it last year. The reason I gave a C grade overall is that AFTER Eric completed the cleaning and reset the soot, grate and logs, he advised me that I should not burn any fires as I needed repairs completed as the firebox was not safe. I think that the time to tell me that would have been before I spent  the money to complete the cleaning and inspection. I also had estimates done for tuckpointing on the outside chimney bricks and repairs to the firebox. I decided to go with another company to have the work done. <br />"

"Jeramie was amazing and very knowledgeable. Told him what I needed and he did a thorough inspection and advised me the best and cheapest way to ge to my goal. I actually had him out to inspect the chimney and another company was going to do the fireplace repair until he advised they do all and it was cheaper. Highly recommend"

Customers say: Quality work

"Bill called me shortly after I sent out my request to home advisor. They came to work the second day. It turned out to be a touch project. The fireplace floor had to be removed and new 4-6&apos;&apos; of concrete footing was poured. Dave reinstalled fireplace brick in fireplace walls carefully like an artist. It took them extra long hours to complete the job, but they left a beautiful fireplace to me without asking for any extra money."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: repair or partially replace projects in Allen Park, MI

Stone veneer isn’t a weekend DIY. Even lightweight faux panels are heavy and must be anchored, flashed, and sealed to keep water out. Missteps can lead to cracked stone, leaks, or injuries. A licensed siding contractor arrives with scaffolding, masonry tools, and the know-how to set each piece safely and neatly, giving you a long-lasting, professional finish.

Stone veneer durability is robust when expert installation and proper maintenance are employed. When installed with precision, regularly cleaned, and sealed as required, stone veneer maintains its integrity for 25 to 75 years. Inadequate installation, however, leads to water intrusion and structural issues that compromise its longevity. Consistent upkeep and adherence to quality installation standards ensure decades of reliable performance.

Covering the entire exterior of a home with stone veneer is feasible but comes with a significant cost increase. Full coverage escalates both material and labor expenses due to the additional square footage required. Many homeowners reduce costs by applying stone veneer selectively—such as around entries, foundations, or architectural accents—while still achieving an upscale appearance and enhancing overall curb appeal.

Installing stone veneer over brick or stucco is entirely possible when the underlying surface is stable and properly prepared. The substrate must be clean, dry, and free of any loose material to support a secure application. Additionally, any areas of flaking stucco or deteriorated mortar must be patched and allowed to cure fully before a professional applies the new veneer, ensuring lasting durability.

Stone veneer siding offers a substantial cost advantage compared to full-thickness natural stone. It costs 25% of the price of natural stone because it is manufactured from concrete and lightweight aggregates. This method delivers the genuine appearance of stone while featuring a thinner profile that simplifies shipping, accelerates installation, and consistently reduces material expenses.

For a 250 square foot exterior area, stone siding installation costs range from $9,800 to $18,000, while installing stone veneer costs between $5,000 and $6,000. This clear cost breakdown demonstrates the significant savings achieved with stone veneer, which uses a lighter construction method that minimizes both material and labor expenses. Homeowners benefit from these lower costs while still attaining the attractive look of natural stone.
