The sales team was very knowledgeable about the roof replacement process, had all of the samples needed to assist with our decision and provided a list of addresses so we could drive by an see completed roof projects. They are a master elite GAF roofing contractor, which was important to us in selecting a contractor. The contract process was hassle free and they addressed all of our questions. The work crew was very efficient and professional, and left our property in a very clean condition. The finished product looks great. We would use AHC for additional projects in the future."

"In the end, the job was completed with high quality and a good price.  Our major issue is that it took far longer than originally planned.  The main reason it took so long was that they went through two carpenters before finally getting a qualified one to finish our job.  Initially, the first person was to replace the rotten wood on the railings and paint.  When the person finished, he never showed up to finish replacing some of the railing caps and complete the painting.  I later found out this person quit or was let go.  Then another person came only to realize the old trim pieces were taken by the previous guy so he could match it up to purchase new trim.  So the new guy couldn't finish.  Then after a week, another carpenter came buy and informed me the last guy was let go and he would be taking over the work forcing us to explain our project and start over again. 
The final guy was awesome and very competent.  The problem is he discovered the first guy covered up the rot on one of the main support posts holding up the roof and painted over it (I noticed some rippling in the paint and when I pointed it out he actually put his finger through the paint and there was literally no more wood left inside).  Once he realized this shoddy work was done he inspected the rest of the porch and realized that one of the main support posts under the porch decking was cracked due to the extra weight of the roof being placed on it (from the rotten corner roof post).  Anyway, long story, but the guy had to completely replace the rotten post and the cracked main support post under the porch, redo the work the first guy did poorly and another paint crew had to come and repaint the railing and posts.  All this took forever.
In the end, the company made good and only charged me for the materials to replace the posts (as this should have been caught by the first incompetent carpenters) and apologized.  I feel like they took on more projects than they could handle and quickly hired people that were not up to their regular standards.  I fell victim to that.

"The deck was very gray and dark. Moldy looking in spots. I had previously purchased deck cleaners from Home Depot and scrubbed my heart out, little improvement was seen. I priced other companies and this was a good deal for power washing and sealing. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is for communication. I would have to call " Mel" and contact with the workers. The workers did not seem to speak English. Or even know what services I had paid for. But they did a fabulous job"

"Excellent experience.  The estimate was very detailed, and more than competitive.  I had time constraints, that Mr Coulter and crew accommodated at no additional cost.  Since they painted the interior of the entire house, there was extensive wall preparation needed in several rooms (due to some very old wall paper removal), and their attention to detail ensured a consistent quality throughout the house.
I wanted the job done correctly--this was the right contractor. 
The crew was professional, clean, and very pleasant individuals to have in my home for a week.  They were extremely detailed -- the quality of work showed an impressive sense of pride.  They went through at the end of each day carefully looking for any flaws, drips, etc., immediately  correcting any issues (there might have been a drop or two -- they work meticulously to avoid mistakes).
Essentially, when they were done, my house looked amazing--better than expected.
I would use them again, and highly recommend them.

"I contacted George based on the reviews here and had a truly great experience.  I could not have hoped for someone more professional, courteous and thorough.  His team was large enough to get the job done quickly and properly all while doing a great job. 
From the initial quote to getting the work done, George was punctual, responsive to texts and phone calls.  He made good suggestions to make our house look great and the execution was spot on.  We needed to have some porch railing bars replaced and instead of replacing the whole railing, he suggested replacing just the vertical posts that were damaged.  After painting, I could not tell original from repaired ones and the painting job was excellent.  He also made sure there was an extra coat of paint put on an exterior section of the house that he repaired to make sure it stood up to the sun and rain.
On the inside of the house, he repainted all of the walls and a couple of ceilings.  His team spackled blemishes, sanded and painted.  It is amazing and the house looks brand new!  There was no paint splatter on the carpet or floors and the edging was skilfully done. 
After all of this work, I only found a couple of spots that needed touch ups and he came by and promptly fixed these.
Overall, he and his team made this experience really easy and the result is fantastic.  I would highly recommend George and his team and we'll be using his services in the future!

I called his company to give me an estimate on replacing a front portico and after receiving his estimate and a couple more I realized I needed to put some more money aside. While he was there I asked if he could replaced my 32 year old deck boards and stairs.

I got an estimate for the deck which was more than reasonable and signed the contract.  Within two weeks his crew was at my house and finished the job in one day.  I asked if they could stain the deck and railings and he said it would be no problem. A couple of weeks later my deck was stained and again it was done in a day.  The deck staining was $560 extra but the old deck looks like new.

"We hired Green Studio Builders to build a two-story addition on our home. The addition included a master bedroom suite, a kitchen, and a renovation of the existing space to match the new part. We also ended up digging the basement under the addition but have yet to finish it. We interviewed six builders for the job. Chris (owner) was by far the most realistic about time and money. Most were saying the job would take around 4 months. Chris said 6. He finished in 5. Chris does design/build. We already had architectural drawings done in advance but the first step Chris took with us was to improve them. Chris assigned us a foreman, who we had day to day contact with. The communication was great, the workers always respectful and the job site was cleaned up daily. We have two young children and we lived in the house throughout the construction. The team made sure to time the job appropriately to lessen the impact on our lives. For instance, they moved us out of the upstairs and worked up there through completion and then moved us back up there and worked downstairs. When it was time to demolish our existing kitchen we got plenty of warning as they prepped the area and worked with the cabinet makers on the delivery date to leave us as short a time as possible without a kitchen. We were amazed that we were without a kitchen for only three weeks as we have heard horror stories about kitchen renovations from our friends. Chris's team worked six days a week, every week. All of the workers are his employees with the exception of the plumber and the electrician, who were subs that he uses on a regular basis. The process was fairly seamless on our end. They worked with the county for inspections and allowed us the peace of mind to live life as (somewhat) normal for the duration. Another huge perk of GSB is that Chris's wife, Nicoletta, who also works for the company, helps with the interior design. She helped us select tile, paint, and fixtures that would match our style and she has an excellent eye. All in all, we were extremely pleased with the company, the process, and the final product! The work is top notch and we are constantly showing it off to friends (who are equally impressed). We will certainly hire GSB again when we are ready to finish our basement. Chris and Nicoletta are wonderful people and run a top notch company with excellent skills and service.
