"We are retired and installing new ducts and central air conditioning was a big decision for us as far as investment. We had worked with Moore Heating and A/C here in Anchorage, AK before. We had wonderful service with them installing a new furnace so we decided to give them a try. Moore has a really well qualified sales rep. that comes to your home to sit down and assess what your needs are. His name is Tony and he is about the most personable guy you will ever work with. We were a little on the fence about having air conditioning as we live in Anchorage, AK (37 years). No one in our entire neighborhood has A/C; but the summer of 2019 broke our backs with the heat. Tony was an effective resource on what was happening around Anchorage and what kind of A/C units were good options. I remember him teaching us what level of air conditioner we needed, taking into account we live in Alaska. I appreciated that he has lived in AK long enough to know the weather and the changes. Questions? We had scads of them and Tony never made us feel like we were taking up his time. After we gathered our information and weighed the options, we were able to tell him what our first choice would be...but we weren't sure we could afford it. Tony said, no problem. He would work up an estimate on as many options as we wanted. He then walked around the house measuring spaces and giving suggestions as to where to put our central A/C unit outside. We also wanted new ducts, and there he went, down to our terrible small crawl space to measure it up. There were no commitment papers signed; he just shook our hands and said he would have the estimates within a day or two. And he was punctual on that point also. Our estimate came online and we were able to see costs for all the different options (Central A/C, Mini Split wall units, even window air conditioners). We were extremely pleased with the estimate for both the central air and an entire new modern duct system. We had the money in savings, but Tony told us about how they offer financing and we took it. The installment was scheduled just a few weeks away. Tony told us it would be just about 2 days of work, (due to duct system replacement). I had to see it to believe it but these very professional guys were a team that got all the work done in 2 days! Moore set up having the city inspector come out and verify all the codes. All the employees we dealt with were professional, respectful of our home, punctual and open to any questions while they worked. Outstanding company. Could not ask for better. Now all our neighbors want to come look at the air conditioner as if we had a new grand child in the family. Greatest asset? Tony H. the Moore representative. Computer h*** exists! My wife's work computer (an old Gateway) developed problems (required start up 3-4 times prior to

image on monitor). I had retained (at that time) a 1 1/2 yr. old Dell 745 and a  1 1/2 yr. old Dell 840 Power Edge Server from my business upon retirement. I took the Gateway to my previous Tech who transferred data to t;he Dell 745.  Within 30 days the 745 began refusing to start up. I chkd. Angie's List  (my previous Tech was unavailable due to her employer's business volume) and read No. Ala. Technical Svs. reviews; called Jim Ferrell who returned my call from out of town. Jim undertook the "exam' and clean-up remotely. When the problem was not resolved remotely, we agreed to meet in a highly public spot for Jim to take the Dell 745 in for service. (I might add that on three occasions of personal meetings with Jim, he was prompt to the minute).
    After exam (a couple of days) Jim  texted that it would appear the mother board was failing. I told him that I had the Dell 840 Power Edge Server and asked if data could be transferred to it. Jim did transfer the data, installed all the back up files (e-mail, photos, billing files, correspondence, etc. that he had backed up for us (just in case). Delivered both units back to me.  We encountered a problem with our e-mail provider and setting up Outlook that evening. I called Jim who then spent another couple of hours to resolve that problem. 
    In the midst of all this, my wife got discouraged because of the "continuing" computer problems, went out to a big box store and bought a Toshiba laptop.The cursor would not work and she had to use a mouse to use the laptop. After 3 weeks she returned the laptop to the big box (which was most courteous in their concierge procedure).
    We have been using our converted Server as a desk top station for the last month without incurring any problems. I would recommend No.  Ala. Technical Services and Jim Ferrell to anyone for computer repair. I found Jim to be diligent, knowledeable, cost conscious, concerned, and reliable. Larry P. Young

He actually fixed our ongoing problem that discount mechanical couldn't diagnose after hours and taught us about what needed to be done down the the tiniest detail and how to keep it on the up and up. "They came out and noticed that there was a low charge on the heat pump and noticed that there was some corrosion on some of the pipes so they figured there may be a leak in the system. As a result I will be getting a new unit altogether that is covered by the home warranty that Choice has provided. The only out of pocket cost that I need to pay for is any modifications and fabrication that needs to happen to integrate the new system. So in total I am paying $550 for a $5000 system."

"The project started out well with a timely visit by the sales rep and a promise of quick installation - by mid June. After that there was poor follow-up - the flooring supervisor did not come out to check on the measurements as promised (and in fact never came out to check on the progress of the job) and there was a significant delay in ordering the material which continued to push back the installation date. Once the material was ordered there was confusion as to who would be doing the installation, carpet and vinyl by one installer; delivery of laminate by another installer who was told what the plan was for the laminate and then the supervisor wanted to change installers from Friday to Monday. The sales rep told us we could have a pattern installed in our foyer and then when the installer came out and was already installing the floor, we found out the two colors of laminate were different styles and not compatible in thickness and that the pattern promised was not appropriate for the method of installation. We had to change what we originally wanted to do. The installation of the laminate was originally not up to our approval and had to be pulled up and reset and there are still joints that are not clean and may cause problems down the road. Also in the kitchen there was confusion over whether or not the cabinets needed to be in or out and this caused extra work pulling and resetting the cabinets. The was also a flaw in some of the vinyl but since this was in a closet we left it go and took a price adjustment for the faulty material. Minor thing but the carpet installer failed to cut out the opening for the heating vent. Because of all the problems, we did get several price adjustments over the course of the ordeal. We are supposed to have a full warranty on this project so will see how that works if there are problems in the future.

After getting the flooring finished, we could finally get the countertops taken care of and things went much more smoothly. The countertop installer was prompt and came out to do the measurements. The material was ordered and came in quickly. The installation crew did a good job on their part of the project. However what should have been finished by the end of June at the latest, because of the flooring issues,  ended up taking till August.

We also were supposed to get cash rebates after the job was completed and we had to repeatedly follow up to get this taken care of correctly. We specified the cash rebate up front when ordering and then received a gift card instead. It took a while to finally get this taken care of as well.

Overall we were disappointed in the performance by Sears."
