"I needed 2 backflow preventers replaced , a water heater repaired and a to0ilet repaired. I had a quote from a very famous local plumbing/heating company for $4000! I called Doug for a second opinion and he came in at HALF the price!! and that was AFTER I showed him the first quote! He didn't seem surprised at all about the first quote. Not only was he half the price but he pointed out that my 6 year warranty on my water heater had 6 months left and said I could get a new one thru that warranty for $100!!! He took care of going thru the company getting me the new heater. He completed the job in a few hours. I will NEVER call another plumber again! My recommendation is to run, not walk, to get Doug for your needs. On top of that he is so very nice. I would give 10 stars if I could."

"We had a great experience with Ryan Hamilton Electric when they came to work on our building and in our apartment. We had discovered that the knob and tube wiring that we thought had been removed from our apartment was still present, and so we hired Ryan to remove the old type of wiring and bring our unit up to code. Ryan and his assistant Tim went above and beyond when it came to doing the work. Ryan explained very clearly to us exactly what the issues were with the knob and tube wiring and showed us exactly what had to be done to fix the problem. We had no surprises. While we were hiring Ryan to remove the old wiring, we also asked him about doing some other electrical work in our apartment. Ryan was happy to add on these further improvements and charge us only for the materials since we were already paying for the labor. Ryan listened to our desire for improved lighting and better outlets, and he presented solutions that would work for us and our kids. He found the perfect lighting fixtures for all the bedrooms and the bathroom, and he offered to improve lighting when it seemed necessary. The project took a few days; Ryan made sure we had the temporary lighting we would need in the evenings after he had completed work for the day. Ryan and Tim also cleaned up beautifully each afternoon when they were done with their work. Ryan and Tim didn't just do exemplary work. They were also warm, friendly, and affable, and a delight to have working in our apartment. We will actually miss having them around, but we were so impressed and delighted by their work that we plan to hire them again soon to improve the lighting in the kitchen and to install new outlets in the bedrooms. "I initially hired them to fix frozen pipes and a broken water meter. They responded quickly to my call even though it was right after a blizzard. They also diagnosed that I had considerably high pressure, 110 in the house and adjusted that accordingly. I also chose to have them install a small heating system in the space under my house to help reduce problems with future pipe freezes. I have an unusual situation where my house is elevated because I am in a flood zone which makes the lower pipes more prone to freezing. They got the entire system and plumbing work done in a single day and now the underside of my house is much warmer and hopefully this will prevent future pipe freezes and bursts."
