They took extra caution to ensure they didn’t damage or disrupt my home or other furniture as they carried their equipment in and out of the house. They encouraged me to see the progress as they worked. (Nothing to hide is always a good thing.) When I expressed surprise and disappointment with one aspect of the design, they immediately began solutioning the issue."

"I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the recent retaining wall replacement project completed by John Krause Construction (JKC) at my property. After reading positive reviews and receiving an estimate that, although over my budget, seemed reasonable for the work involved, I made the decision to hire JKC. Unfortunately, this has proven to be a significant mistake, and I am left extremely disappointed with both the quality of work and the overall experience. Here are the main issues I encountered: 1. Unprofessional Behavior: The crew exhibited unacceptable behavior while working on my property. Not only did I witness them disposing of bodily fluids on-site, but they were also disrespectful and dismissive. when I raised concerns no response was received. I now smell urine when entering and exiting my garage. 2. Unresponsive Ownership: I have attempted to reach out to the owner multiple times to address these concerns and resolve the issues, but my messages have been met with silence. This lack of communication is incredibly frustrating and has only added to my disappointment. The owner refused to speak on the phone since the owner was made aware of the call being recorded. 3. Property Damage: During the construction process, my property was left damaged in multiple areas. This included e.g., landscaping destruction, equipment damage. Personal crew members vehicles being driven through my yard leaving deep tire marks damage. 4. Subpar Quality of Work: Despite the high cost of the project, the final result does not meet the standards outlined in the estimate or contract. No proper grading was completed. Every time it rains pools of water sits in front and behind the wall. The response received was. “we have passed all inspections.  There will be some water pooling while it is settling still. Plus the fact of the hard rain today, it will happen.” The wall has been completed for 2 months. Given the extensive problems, stress and anxiety I have faced. I do not recommend John Krause Construction."

"We had a great experience with BST Design & Build. The project was scoped out, started on time and took about 5 weeks which was in the estimated 4-6 week schedule. During the project, questions were answered and the onsite team was very responsive to our wishes, even being creative to ensure our needs were addressed. "I have been using the team at home breakthrough for years. At this point they fully remodeled my basement including adding a new bathroom/wet bar. As well as a huge overhaul of my main floor bath and laundry room. The quality of their work is outstanding. I also love their quote structure. They start with a labor number and give you an idea of what materials will cost but it’s essentially a chose your own adventure on how high end you want to go on features etc and they are very helpful to guide you on the way as well as have great experts to point you to on cabinets, fixtures, tile, countertops etc to help you achieve your vision. Look forward to having them back for my next project!"

"I was concerned about our first big construction project, then when COVID-19 hit I became even more nervous. But I had nothing to worry about with All Renovations. Our contract clearly laid out what was required on both sides and Omar and Ainea respected our space by using only the external door in the construction space and wore masks for one off conversations. I was also nervous about not having a floorplan drawing. But Ainea walked us through everything, and even after the initial take on framing was done and I realized I needed more space in one area they didn't bat an eye at adjusting. I have no complaints with their service and would definitely hire them again."

"Second time using Jose and his team for a home project. First time was a sunroom porch conversion, this time was a kitchen remodel. I really can’t thank Jose enough for all his and his team’s hard work. It’s rare to have such a positive experience with these kinds of projects, but Jose as always goes above and beyond. "I hired this contractor to level my basement floor, install a backup sump pump, and add a laundry sink. The basement looks better, but had significant problems. THE GOOD:The laundry sink and sump pump work properly alongside the existing drain. THE CONCERNS:The sump pump was initially installed incorrectly, removing the drain. I was told both couldn't fit due to equipment size. Only after speaking with the owner was a solution found.The floor leveling fell short. The self-leveler had grey and white patches. When I raised concerns, I was told this was normal and it doesn't come in colors,contradicting my research. Since I didn't discuss coloring upfront, I paid an additional $850 for epoxy paint. Even after painting, the floor remained uneven with noticeable depressions. The door was left unlocked with keys inside rather than in the lockbox. BOTTOM LINE:The basement is improved but not level as promised. Be very specific about expectations upfront and be prepared to push back on issues"
