David Ricard gave me a fair estimate to fill in mortar where a house brick was party broken by a telecom company and where some mortar fell out from an area a larger masonry company had repointed a few years before. David and his brother showed up on time, did the work in a reasonable amount of time, and cleaned up after. He showed that he understands different kinds of brick and the mortar required. I wish I had known about David before I hired that other company a few years before because the larger company didn't do a particularly good repointing job. I have upcoming mortar work needed on my front walkway and will be calling David for that repair. I would definitely hire him again and recommend him to others."

"I had used this company previously and found them to be exceptionally responsive. They had shown me a video of cracks in my chimney cap and replaced the cap expeditiously. The tech had dislodged a screw during the first fireplace cleaning and couldn't find the screw, or one suitable to replace it, disabling my glass screen. The company replaced the affected fireplace screen door without charge. Thus, I called upon this company to clean the chimney again this year. As this was a routine cleaning, I have nothing extraordinary to report, except that the tech showed up on time and was very professional. Also, I have a second floor laundry room and he cleaned the dryer vent from outside the house, which I believe is more effective than cleaning it from inside the house, which another company did. Finally, they called to schedule immediately after I purchased the Big Deal - I mean that day within an hour or so! I would definitely hire this company again."

"I purchased a roof inspection and tune-up theough Angie’s list. I was contacted quickly to set up the appointment and provided a reminder prior thereto. The technician was Mike G. who called about 10 minutes before arrival. He explained what he would do, then proceeded to inspect the attic and roof, making some repairs to the roof as necessay. When completed, we sat down to review pictures and discuss options. Mike G. explained things clearly but did not pressure us to do anything at this time. When the time comes to repair or replace the roof, we will definitely contact American Home Contractors."

"Anthony, Orlando, and their crew were extremely professional.  They started by arriving early  and immediately got to work. They were extremely respectful of my house, and were careful bringing in their gear. It was raining all day, and yet, they managed to keep any water, mud, or grass from coming inside.
They took care of everything. Sanded and primed the walls, removed nails, fixed holes and seams, and carefully moved all the furniture. You couldn't ask for a better crew. Their communication was excellent and I was always aware of their progress.
Once they readied the rooms, a huge task, they meticulously primed the walls and ceiling, followed by two coats of paints on the walls and ceilings.  They took great care in making sure the paint went on smoothly and quickly.
So all the rooms were done in a day! Simply awesome results. I will hire Anthony, Orlando, and their crew for the next job, and recommend them highly.

"We hired MW to finish our basement, add a basement bath, gut and re-design our kitchen and upstairs bathroom, re-configure out duct work, rebuild our two staircases, replace all windows, and rebuild our front porch. Given the scope of the remodel, I spent many, many hours researching and vetting local contractors before deciding on MW. We are extremely pleased with the final product! Virtually everything they touched was finished to a very high quality and lovely aesthetic. I worked most closely with their designer, who was a great help in selecting materials, and with Drew Marks, whom I talked with many times a week before and during construction. When something was not to my precise liking, Drew made it right. And though we have an older (1940's) home that resulted in some surprises and challenges, there were no change orders or extra charges due to this. In fact, every aspect of the project was at or below the projected budget, with the exception of times when I chose upgraded finishes. I also was comfortable with the crew they used, particularly Armando, who was happy to answer my questions, and left our home very clean at the end of each day. Home renovations can be a stressful and emotional time for the owners, and Drew and his team were as responsive and professional as they could be in order to limit this. If you are seeking a rock bottom price on construction work and are willing accept the shoddy quality that often accompanies it, then MW is not for you. Our goal in undertaking our home renovation was to get excellent workmanship and a beautiful space without spending a fortune, and while living in the home during renovations. MW helped us achieve this."
