"Quickly diagnosed the central air conditioning system, and gave an estimate on the cost of recharging the refrigerant in the compressor. The system is a 14 year old Carrier unit. Albert also included some sealant that may plug up the slow leak of refrigerant that occurs every 2 years or so. Albert also, showed me how to adjust the damper to control the flow of air to the second and third floors of the house. The other company that arrived wanted to charge me $5,000 to repair the system or close to $7,000 to replace the AC system with new. I intend to call upon Magna Tech Temp Air, Inc when I'm ready to purchase a new HVAC system. Thanks again for taking the time to listen to my concerns. Well done!!!"

"Although the AC unit was working, it was leaking water. I had another company come in and tell me that the main drain pan was cracked and that it would cost $2880 to repair or I could buy a new unit costing over $8500 dollars. I called Relax Air for a second opinion. Kamal and his crew came out the next day and confirmed that the drain pan was cracked and leaking. His repair cost? $400. I also had him do two other HVAC related jobs while he was there (replacing AC disconnect box and installing a water float switch]. They had everything done in and hour and a half. Total cost: $675. "I contacted Bluestar Air Mechanical for a second opinion after an appointment with Air One. I have a Carrier HVAC system, and the Air One technician recommended a complete system replacement, claiming the blower was bad, the furnace control board needed replacing, and that there were other issues. Since replacing the HVAC is a big investment, I wanted to get a second opinion. It was only after comparing the service from Bluestar that I realized Air One may have been pushing for a new system sale or lacked the expertise to properly diagnose and repair the actual problems. Isaac, the technician from Bluestar, spent about an hour thoroughly diagnosing and fixing the issues. He found burnt wiring in the furnace and discovered that the wrong capacitor had been incorrectly installed in the AC. Isaac replaced the burnt wiring in the furnace and the capacitor in the AC. After these repairs, my Carrier system was back up and running—without the need for a costly replacement. Bluestar, and Isaac in particular, demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and honesty. They focused on resolving the actual issues instead of pushing for an unnecessary system replacement. "Technicians were on time and very courteous.  They thoroughly inspected and cleaned my 15 yr old air conditioner and changed my air filter as advertised.  Although they indicated that the system was nearing the end of its life due to high readings for volts, and strain on the motor, etc., they did not pressure me to unnecessarily replace parts at this time.  They did provide me with a few options for repairing or replacing the system in the future should it fail, all without the high pressure attempt to sell me more than I need at the moment (something I hate).
