"PAID $14,000 for an Lennox system ONLY 2 YEARS AGO. Fox installed and serviced it. Recently, system stopped working and a Fox tech charged us $320 to fix. It stopped working 3 days later, so they came out again. Then, they wanted $3244 to replace the coil. NEVER buy Lennox (look up the class action lawsuit RE coils). NEVER use Fox (I've been pushed up to a "supervisor" 4 times with no resolution, the last one has yet to call). Lennox system's have faulty coils (see Reddit). Fox says they NOW don't use Lennox. (Head scratch) You make the connection. So, all I asked for was a new coil installed (part covered under warranty, 7 yrs left) and a guarantee that if it failed again (meaning I'd pay this time and have seven TX summers to go), Fox would not charge me for labor ($3244...pretty steep price too)...no call back."

"I was charged close to $900 to change 3 exterior spigots. Should have been a 1 hour job. But it wasn?t. While they knew it would be three spigots he came with only two. I had to go nearly 20 miles to Home Depot to get the third. Never had something like this happen before. By the way argued the amount and the fee was reduced to $690. "Faught has replaced two HVACs for us: the first in our condo in 2014. The old unit was in the attic above the master bedroom and everywhere in the unit it sounded like a 747 taking off. Faught re-ducted some of the returns placing them in closets which kept my computers cool and kept the ceilings and walls free of return ducts :) The second HVAC was in our townhome and was a challenge because of limited space. Faught installed a continuous unit that allowed only the power that we needed and allowed us to section-off the master bedroom. My wife likes the MBR to be 65* at night and Faught's approach saves us on utility bills. All work was completed timely, in a professional manner and for a competitive price. We will definitely use them again."

"Don't call Top Hat Chimney Sweeps. I had them install a screen over the top of my chimney less than two years ago. Today, I heard some kind of animal in the chimney, so I called them to come back. Their guy was here less than 15 minutes and spent most of that on his phone. He quoted me $315 to fix the screen and add more, but said he didn't have the materials today and would have to come back. I said that was fine. Then he said that the call today, which accomplished nothing, would be $81! He didn't do anything - he didn't even have the ladders he needed to get up there, he just stood on the ground looking up at it the whole time! I said forget it and paid him that and said I'd call someone else. They obviously don't care about their customers or their work. Avoid Top Hat Chimney Sweeps!"

"Strand Brothers Service Experts provided the worst customer service I've ever experienced. After servicing our A/C, it failed the next day. A technician identified a faulty part but didn?t have it, promising to find one. By the next morning, Christmas Eve, there was no update. When I called, they said the part wouldn?t be available until the day after Christmas. We were left without A/C in hot Texas weather, with no urgency or empathy from them. They offered no solutions like contacting other providers or providing a portable unit. Past issues included a similar lack of urgency. Despite being 'Maintenance+' members, we received no priority. The managers were unresponsive, leaving customer service reps to handle our frustration. Avoid Strand at all costs if you value reliable service. They ruined our Christmas, showing a blatant disregard for their customers' comfort."
