"They were great, came out to fix the problem next day. Checked that everything was working before they left for the day. Slight leak on toilet, came out to fix it. Very friendly and professional. "

"Gilbert was great at communicating and very clear about his rates prior to coming out. He showed up on time with all the tools and parts needed for the repair and went over and above what was asked. He not only fixed the symptom of the problem but actually identified the root cause and proactively fixed that as well. I have dealt with a lot of service providers over the years and there are very few that I would put in the same category as blue dragon Plumbing."

"When we discovered that our four-year-old LG washer wouldn't fit in the laundry room of the house into which we were moving, we were at a loss--something else to add to the stress of moving.  I went to Lowe's to check on alternative washers that would fit in the location.  After a lot of questions by the appliance staff and department manager, they recommended a stacking kit.  They assured us that we could do it and that it would be very stable when we got the units stacked.  They also provided advice on venting the dryer which would now be on top of the washer.  We were impressed and grateful for all the time the staff took for what ended up being a $50 sale.  The staff was absolutely correct!  The stacking kit was easy to install and after the dryer was mounted on top of the washer, both units are very stable.  The only sad part was having to get rid of the pedestals for the washer and dryer because they provided much needed storage space. <br /> The bonus for Lowe's is that we are planning to return to replace the old cheap gas range in the house with a modern slide-in range.  We expect the same great service with that purchase. <br />"

"During the first visit, Mark used a UV bulb our earlier provider had left by the system in our attic (he had known we would need it soon, so the old one lasted longer than we thought it would).  We had forgotten it was there!  We didn't have to buy a new bulb. <br /> During the second visit (spring maintenance was in May because I called late to set it up), he determined our system was in order. <br /> At the third visit (fall, 2015), not only did he perform the semi-annual maintenance, but he also gave us paperwork to submit to our gas company that showed he had done all the maintenance checks needed to qualify us for a conservation rebate.  After I submitted to our gas company, we received a $40 rebate from the gas company!  I would never have known about the rebate if he hadn't told me. <br />"

"After reviewing the options, I decided on TDT and relining of my pipes with epoxy. I was out of town during the process -- 3 days without water -- and arrived home the last day. The foreman of the crew and I talked every day of the job. They did a great job and obviously great care of my house. They cleaned up after the work was complete and there have been no leaks. Best of all, the water is more pure and clear than I have ever seen in any house I've lived in."

"I've had them quite a few times for different problems. They were great. They always come out the day that you call. I've never had an issue where they can't come that day or can't come for 3 days. They're very professional. They work very hard to make sure it's done right. The guys snaked the pipe several times until they got everything working right. They should hire them. They're just more expensive than others but they actually come out and get the job done."

"The service of the clogged pipe went fair. The service was done. I would not call them back due to the fact that there was no safety gear on the staff members. No shoe covers, no masks, or gloves. The staff members did not try to keep a safe distance when speaking. The date of the requested service was in late April in the midst of the COVID 19. The company did not take the steps to protect their employees or customers. I've sent an email with my concerns to Texas APS and did not hear back from them. I had to reach out to a third party to have Texas APS email me back, to only receive a one-sentence apology. Service was fine customer service and safety is poor."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Bastrop, TX

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
