"I had problems in our back yard with water pooling during heavy rainfall and was concerned about possible flooding of our house and garage.  We have a pool and concrete patio, so I knew this was not going to be an easy fix.

Rob came out and spent about 2 hours looking over our situation and talking about options.  After he left, he came up with a single plan with components so we could proceed one step at a time, then wait and evaluate the success of that step or do a number of steps at once. 

Since we we were very concerned about the possibility of flooding, we elected to proceed with regrading, adding an exterior drainage line from the garage to the street, replacing an existing line from the house to the street, adding catch basins and re-grading areas around the house and garage.

The work was done at the days and times arranged; the crew was very considerate and professional and the work was beautiful.  

Most importantly, we have had several very heavy rainfalls and the solutions we had implemented by Works By Rob are performing as well as we had hoped.   We had no accumulation of water and no worries!"

"DAV Construction was hired to replace a damaged roof and gutters. They did a professional job of discussing the bid with me. However, this was more than a roofing job. I had an issue with water seeping through my second floor brick that continued to damage my interior and patio cover. We all thought it was a poor trim installation. Alex took a hard core position of helping me correct the problem. We had to repair any openings in the existing brick and applied a water sealant. I even had a phone call several months later after a heavy rain storm to see if we had any visible leaks. All was good and the extra effort was was high on the scale of taking care of the customer. I would personally recommend Alex and his team to anyone."

"Kevin gave a fair and prompt estimate that aligned with other estimates I received. We scheduled the work within a time frame that it needed to be completed by and his company made it happen. Kevin mentioned that there might be some additional concerns due to the existing rotten siding. Once the siding was removed, we established a fair price for the structural repairs and they were done quickly. The job took 5 days and my house is updated and beautiful. I would definitely recommend Kevin and his company to anyone looking to do these improvements. A couple things I learned from this experience: there may be some damage that is not visible until the existing siding is removed, be sure you talk about that possibility and what the costs might entail; also budget in for new exterior light fixtures and a new doorbell, because your house will be so nice that you won't want to put the old fixtures back on.

"I first hired Yanny and his team (a very nice couple) for an outdoor shed installation and they did a fantastic job!! "After reviewing Angie’s list, I was able to identify two (2) general contractors in my area. The first provided a general hourly quote over the phone and scheduled an appointment to provide me the number of hours required to complete the work. The second general contractor was Gulf Coast Master Craftsmen. Michael Mortensen (owner and master craftsman) contacted me regarding my request for a quote and scheduled a meeting based upon my schedule which was approximately 6:30 pm to accommodate my work schedule. When I arrived home, Michael was waiting for me and we proceeded to discuss the work that was needed in addition to discussing additional work that I wanted completed. Michael recommend coming back the following day with equipment to better inspect the entire house trim to identify rotted areas in order to provide an accurate quote. A detailed quote was provided by the end of the day with pictures of damaged/rotted trim. Once approval was provided, Michael started the project within a few days. Michael notified me when he arrived at my property to start work in addition to sending me pictures at the end of the day of work performed. The project was completed in 2 days and I was once again asked to meet Michael to conduct a walk-through of work that was completed to ensure my satisfaction. The house looks much brighter (amazing what new trim and paint can do!) and although I did not anticipate having to replace house/chimney trim – Michael was able to respond and complete the work quickly to avoid disruption. I am extremely detailed and expect high level of service from anyone I hire. The work performed was seamless - the work blended well and does not look patchy which was a concern seeing as how sections were replaced. Michael addressed some observations I made related to paint splatters and even though some were from the previous owners Michael went above and beyond and cleaned up the brick. Michael clearly takes pride in his work and we will be using Michael in the near future for additional projects!"

"Gary Frith (Houston Handyman) did an awesome job! We had rotting trim around an outside door, 4 posts supporting a patio roof, and surrounding chimney. Gary replaced or repaired all the rotting trim pieces (using Hardie-plank for replacements). Gary worked quickly and efficiently. When job was complete, trim was better than new (won’t rot again because of HardiePlank). Caulking and painting is top-notch! Highly recommend Houston Handyman for handyman services."
