"They came out quickly and fixed the water line 04/15/2025. When they finished they threw around some grass seed and said they did not have enough. The said to call them when the ground settled and they would bring some dirt, more grass seed and straw. After numerous calls they had a company come by and leave a load of dirt in the yard. They said they would be back to spread the dirt and never came back. I have made numerous calls to no avail. Now we have to hire someone to bring out a loader and spread the dirt, and plant grass seed and put down straw."

"Was told, I had to pay $50 for them to come out and see what was wrong. I didn't mind paying that. The man broke the pipe worse than what it was. Didn't fix it before he left and charged me $189 For attempting to fix the pipe. This all happened in less than 10 minutes. I will never call these people again. How do you go from $50 to $189 in 10 minutes after breaking something worse than it was."

The quality of the final work is excellent, and the construction crew, architect, and county inspector were all great to work with. The original crew we worked with, led by Edwin, were so hardworking, friendly, thorough, and fast. That's what really pushed us from 2 to 3 stars. However, the process getting here was frustrating and unnecessarily chaotic. Timeline & Communication Issues: Initial promise: We were clear that the renovation had to allow us to live in our home during construction and be completed before Christmas. Early communication: Our original project manager, Cris, was personable, and early communication seemed fine, if a bit informal and sometimes inappropriately personal. Major miscommunication: Near the holidays, we discovered that the plans submitted included cutting into the roof — something we explicitly said we didn’t want. This contradicted verbal assurances and caused major last-minute changes. Project Management Failures: Poor planning and oversight: Cris and the architect’s plan didn’t align with the construction work. We had to get involved directly with the county to fix errors. Paperwork errors: Incorrect submissions to the county added delays and confusion, which we had to monitor ourselves. Last-minute scramble: We were cleaning up dust on Christmas Eve due to these planning failures. Personnel Turnover & Lack of Handoff: Cris leaves the company: No proper handover to James, the new PM, who was unfamiliar with our project. Crew replaced: The original crew, who were great, were gone; new crew had no context or direction. James leaves: Another handoff with no context — the third PM had no idea about our project or its outstanding items. Escalation mishandled: When we raised our concerns with Kyle, the CEO, the response felt dismissive, with no accountability for the previous missteps. In summary, it's a beautiful end result... but we’re glad it’s over. The process left us frustrated, confused, and frankly, exhausted."

AES worked with us on a few small changes we requested along the way as well. I felt very comfortable with all the craftsperson’s at work in our home. He quickly diagnosed the problem and solved it. We’ve found a new HVAC maintenance company we can count on. Great service, great responsiveness, good prices. Our AC is back up and running. "Our first encounter with Len the Plumber for gas boiler repairs went well and lead us to purchase a service contract with them for the 15% discount. However once we needed actual plumbing services and after they provided their "free" HVAC annual inspection it all went downhill rapidly. As others have noted the %15 discount is a concept they don't really honor. We were charged $1100 for less than 30 minutes of work for a repair that only required one cut and a simple joint (We had already removed the drywall and trim for access) and about $30 in parts (which by the way good luck getting an itemized bill from these people). On the HVAC side they broke what was a perfectly functioning 4 yr old AC HVAC and then wanted to charge $1200 to figure out how they broke it plus whatever parts they dreamed up needed replacing. They tried to claim the capacitor was bad. BTW - they brute force discharge the capacitors on units as part of their "maintenance check", something they should never do. We had BGE come out since their info was on the installation tag on the air handler and they diagnosed the issue in less than 30 minutes finding the thermostat had been burned up by mis-handling by the Len tech. They also said they never brutalize the capacitors the ways these guys do unless there is already a suspected issue with it. That's because the capacitor could be damaged by the way they handle it at Len the Plumber. So the "free" annual HVAC check cost me 3 days of discomfort and $250. Len refuses to admit wrong doing and will not reimburse us. They got $5000 in fees from us in less than a year so they don't care if we leave because they know another sucker is just around the corner waiting to be taken. These guys should lose their license given their business practices. Stay away from them at all costs."
