"as installed in 2010, which is correctThe plumbers did arrive about 1 hour and 40 minutes into the 2 hour window.  I explained the problem.  They asked me to show where the drain went in the basement.  They estimated it was about 55 feet from the kitchen sink that would need to be cleaned.  They said they would perform a whole house plumbing inspection while there.  While one plumber worked on the drain the other checked for natural gas leaks, there were none, and checked the water heater.  They told me the water heater was installed in 2010, which is correct.  He also told me the anode rod needed replacing.  I googled anode rods and found 2 references from plumbing supply companies that verified everything he told me.  They also sold me an enzyme to maintain the drain.

They got the job done quickly and efficiently. I called and explained what was going on and they assured me that someone will be out as soon as possible.  A bit later the technician came to the house ,first he greeted us then he put on his shoe covers before coming into the house.  When I showed the technician the problem he was very patient in explaining to me what all needed to be done and he answered all my questions in a way that i could understand. I was impressed with his knowledge of the business but more impressed with his people skills. They were very professional, and extremely hard working! They literally took lunch breaks and other than that worked the entire day without breaking.
