In fact, blocks from the ‘old wall’ were salvaged, because they had a unique style [that is not readily available] A quote from another contractor stated that I would have to accept a rebuilt wall with only standard blocks, no stylized blocks☹️ The work done by Primo Contracting exceeded my expectations."

This was a big deal purchase. It worked out for me good and bad, The cleaning of the chimney was fine, but the fireplace has two sides. We talked about putting a door on one of the sides that matched the other side. That was not part of the deal, that was separate. I gave them a good down payment and no door is forthcoming. They are very nice, but no door has been forthcoming. They were going to bring the door two weeks ago, but I got a call from the guy who said he was stuck on the side of the road and could not come that day. I have not heard from them since.

"Existing brick porch was breaking apart at mortar joints and brick was breaking and falling away along entire perimeter. I contacted 4 contractors - only 2 replied. D & S came out the same day and provided a quote on the spot. Their price was lower and I had a better feeling about them then the other contractor. "The job went well.  Once into the tuck pointing part of the job, it was obvious that a lot of mortar behind the outside brick had eroded away.  Michael did a great job making sure the job was done correctly.  As for the roof, the fixes he did, addressed the problem of leaking at the flashing.

Brick Preservation came highly recommended from a close family friend. They exceeded all expectations from the initial phone call to the completion of the work. 1 month after the job was completed I even received a follow up call to ensure that I was satisfied with the job.

The work crew was led by James himself. It was completed 2 days prior to his original estimate and the cost was just under the original quote.

The new mortar color and texture was a perfect match to the original from 1957. He was even able to reuse some of the original brick and match the replacement brick perfectly.

The work was performed safely and the crew was very professional at all times while they were at my home. The work area was kept neat while the work was performed and was spotless when he finished. (This was important to me because I have 3 young children and a large dog)

"Nosh is a true craftsman and an outstanding professional.  He provided a clear quote and stuck to it despite some unforeseen additional expenses.  His craftsmanship and professionalism is second to none.  He and his crew arrived each morning, worked hard, and cleaned up every day.  When more of the old stone was damaged than expected, he made MANY calls around to warehouses and was able to find an exact match to our 9 year old stone!!!  It's not just a match, even...it's the same stone.  It had be sitting in the warehouse for 9 years.  He bought what he needed for the job, advised us to get more for future repairs, and delivered it to our home.  I think we bought everything the warehouse had.  We'll never be able to find that stone again (as many masons have told us previously), but now we won't need to.  Most other contractors just don't put forth that extra effort to do the job right and make the customer happy.
When discussing other potential projects and details, he is very cost conscious while still having an eye on aesthetics.  He even came back after his work was complete to meet with carpenters to provide guidance on working around the remaining poorly installed stone.  We some of the caulking around the base of our backsplash had tiny holes after drying, he came back and fixed them.  We will definitely have Nosh back to repair more of the stone and do other masonry and tiling work.
Nosh has a bit of an accent, but it's really nothing...just a little extra patience when communicating over the phone.  With his skills and experience, this is the expert you want to do your masonry work!  Finding a true and honest craftsman like Nosh is 1 in 10,000 at least.

"Pat (owner) is extremely personable and will answer any questions you may have. I had a question after the work was done and he answered very quickly. Mike and his apprentice were right on time and did a great job. I had to have my chimney rebuilt from the rootline up. I also chose to have a liner installed and all my vent pipes in the basement from the water heater and furnace were brought up to code. The bricks matched perfectly. Everything was hauled away and cleaned up to the point it was hard to tell anyone was there."
