They used dust abatement measures to protect all my basement-stored items, and they removed and hauled all the debris away when finished with the excavation. "We moved into new house and quickly found out the basement had major water issues due to years of neglect (including a clogged and poorly installed English drain from years ago, and a sump pump that while it worked, never pumped water.). Given the investment we made in buying the house, we wanted to make sure we left no doubt in our mind that we were fixing it for the long haul so we could use the basement without worry of mold/mildew for our kids. He patiently and methodically examined all the potential sources of water entry while keeping suggested repairs to a minimum. He discovered that the cause was a back yard drainage problem together with a failing internal foundation drainage system and drew up a price quote with detailed diagrams for a plan to remedy the situation. The crew started immediately, keeping within the scope of work and cost outlined in the price quote. They installed a back yard drainage system to control storm water and replaced the blocked portion of the foundation drainage system. They were very professional and quickly but carefully completed the work, leaving the site spotless. Since then the basement has remained dry during numerous heavy rain falls, even during the rapid snow melt with rain that occurred this past January.
