"Prouty did a great job on the chimney liners and ultimately the chimney cap repair. I rated them a C on responsiveness and professionalism specifically for an issue related to finishing the chimney cap in April when the weather conditions allowed for the repair. We financed the project over a six month period. I had requested that they provide pictures of the finished work including the chimney cap. Other companies we have used in the past provide before and after pictures. However, we were told that because they had already completed the chimney cap repair, they would not return to take pictures. It wasn't until we withheld the final payment that they agreed to return and provide pictures; only to find out that the work had not been completed. They were apologetic about the error in the paperwork, but I can't help thinking if we had not withheld the final payment, we would have been unaware that the repair had not been completed. I believe I would hire them again, but would have to make sure to verify the completed work."

"The chimney was inspected and repaired with a new stainless steel liner. The cracked terra cotta tiles were supposed to be removed as a part of the contract. They were not. I called to see why not and to receive a credit for this portion of the contract. My call was never returned. I hired a second more reputable company to review the work and to replace my gas logs. They told me there was no reason that the terra cotta could not have been removed."

We went over everything he thought that was needed to correct and improve the brickwork and caps. Also told me what he could do to prevent further problems. Gave me a very reasonable quote. I said okay and when did he want to start...he said he was free all day so he did the work right then. Just before I was leaving my office Dave called and said he had finished the job and he went over everything he had done plus some things to watch-out for and their warranty information. I called the company paid over phone and by the time I got home all was done and you could see the improvements from the driveway. I climbed up on the roof and the chimneys look like new! "One of my tenants had a chimney fire in February.  I asked Rusty to inspect the chimney to make sure there was no damage.  He had installed the chimney (for a woodstove) two years earlier, replacing an old pipe that wasn't installed to code.  The job was very good - the guys were fast, professional, cleaned up as they went along, and gave me a lot of confidence in terms of the safety of what they recommended (double liner etc).   The store in Hamilton has a nice selection of woodstoves and supplies.  They recommended using a gel starter for the woodstove, which they stock.  The office staff has been very helpful and knowledgeable too! <br />"

"I did a competition on replacing our basement door, reviewing both the solution for a Signet Door and including price installed. After reviewing several solutions from several top rated companies, we decided that On the Level Contracting (OTL) (Peter Psihas) had the best solution for the outside trim with a 12 9/16” Frame Depth. I than went to the 3 lowest bidders (including OTL) with the final configuration to ensure everyone was bidding on the same configuration. After receiving the 3 final bids from top rated companies, OTL had the lowest price. After Peter ordered the door from ProVia, Peter provided me the estimated date he would be receiving the door from Provia. When the door was received Peter notified me and worked with me to schedule the installation date based upon our availability. The installation team from OTL arrived in the schedule time, verified they had the correct door prior to starting the work and did an excellent job installing the replacement door. Peter can to our house prior to the job being completed to ensure I was satisfied and went over the warranty information. Prior to signing the final contract, I talked to Peter about providing the Aluminum and replacing the Aluminum Capping to the side of the garage door that was dented. Peter and his father (George) replaced the capping matching the bends exactly to the top and the other side. I highly recommend using OTL.!!!"
