"Michael was quick to respond, was able to assess the issue, propose a solution and do the work on the spot. Fair pricing, good work. He and his partner installed a new external hose bibb in a difficult to access spot. They had to pull up carpet and cut into the sub-flooring to access the 12 inch clearing to remove broken pipe pieces from the inside, but they did a great job and put everything back the way it was. Works as expected. Would recommend."

"The job could not have gone better! Petey and his assistant went above and beyond the scope of work, carting the old sink away instead of leaving it for this old lady to deal with; also moving the heavy cooktop to a safer location than I was going to have it. He arrived ready to work; got right to it (both times) and was very professional. He was also thoughtful and considerate. I thought the job to reconnect and instal everything was going to take much longer but he had it done in less than 40 minutes- start to finish- which included checking to make sure the cooktop worked, the gas was connected properly with no leaks, the water ran well with no leaks, and that I was pleased with the job. I was missing a sink plug and he provided one right on the spot. HE COMES PREPARED!!! I will most certainly use him again for any plumbing needs for the property. The cost I quote below is what I paid for both visits combined ( the disconnect and the reconnect/instal)."

"We were very pleased with Nutmeg.  They did not charge anything because they tried to fix it in September, so this one was free of charge.  They installed a new gas boiler for us and when the heat would not come on a year later they did not know the reason. They replaced a part and thought it could have been an air bubble. They were good about trying to track the problem down."

"I have been helping my elderly parents who live in Milford. They had numerous plumbing problems that had not been addressed over many years. I called A-Team Plumbing and they amazed me!! They were friendly, quick to respond, and they did an EXCELLENT job. In the second floor bathroom, they discovered the problem was old iron drain pipe clogged by corrosion. They carefully removed the floor and installed PVC replacing the old pipe. Price was very reasonable. They then installed a new toilet in the half-bathroom on the first floor, replaced the galvanized pipes under the kitchen floor, and tied the deep sink in the laundry room into the sewer (previously draining into a dry well). The crew was friendly, polite, and VERY hard workers. They are the only plumbers I would hire. Excellent job A-Team!"

"The water heater that was installed malfunctioned in about 6 weeks. Quinn came out the same evening that we called to install another one that has worked very well to date. They were prompt, courteous, knowledgeable. Cleaned everything up. In my opinion, they did a great job. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. <br />"

"<p>My A/C unit is  a 16 years old American Standard with a Trane compressor . I live up in Silver Ridge and wanted to get service from someone who worked in this area, so I contacted First Response. They came right out, saw the problem and fixed it.  They cautioned me about the age of the unit, with a specific warning about the motor.  The system worked for hours, when suddenly my wife heard a screeching noise in the motor. It sounded like the motor jammed up.  We called First Response back and they came out and replaced the motor. </p> <p> First Response  was presented with some unique problems in their efforts to repair this unit. It was very old and it was a holiday week end. I am very satisfied with their service as are my neighbors who also contacted First Response </p>"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Branford, CT

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
