We contacted four vendors (two of whom we had used before).  Our install was a bit tricky, and some companies would not even quote the job.  Mike was the most responsive, and gave us the most options.  I researched third party reviews on the product lines he proposed.  All seemed to have good reviews.  This is really hard to find in either windows or sliding doors!  During the sales process he was informative and presented several options, but absolutely no high pressure.  So easy and pleasant to work with. The installer was very professional and really knew what he was doing.

"Artistic Construction (AC) performed a complete kitchen remodel in our home. The project required flooring reinforcement and installation of high-end cabinets, granite, and appliances. The crew was reliable, courteous, and a pleasure to have in our home. We have since hired AC to complete other projects in our home."

"Appointment was scheduled for a quote. A gentleman (Tim) arrived at the precise scheduled time. Prior to assessing the exterior of our home Tim took time to sit down with us to obtain an understanding of precisely what we wanted. After verbalizing our desires and expectations Tim took measurements and provided an estimate. Prior to signing a contract Tim voluntarily provided his suggestions with his clearly evident expertise. There was not any pressure. After interviewing several other companies there was not any doubt Thermal Shield was the choice due to the integrity that was exhibited during our initial visit. When Thermal Shield was then contacted to return to review the initial quote Tim returned and a start date was scheduled. While waiting for the start date Tim called just to follow up and make sure the date was still convenient. The Thermal Shield team arrived punctually each morning and each member had a specialty and hit the ground running. The guys were very professional and took a great deal of pride in their work. The job was completed in the time targeted; approx. five days. While the job was being completed Tim called each day and stopped by to make sure we were satisfied. Due to our home being older, built in 1927 we have dealt with our share of contractors, some not so good. I am sometimes apprehensive with the reviews wondering if they are truly customers. Let me tell you we struck gold with the Thermal Shield team! The final price was precisely as quoted. The code enforcer was by today to perform his final inspection and said "He has been doing inspections for many years and has never performed an inspection which consisted of such quality work" that is a quote. We cannot say enough about how satisfied and lucky we are we chose Thermal Shield.

"John was very patient from the onset. Offering suggestions regarding color, designs, etc, while allowing us time to make our minds without feeling rushed or pushed into making a decision. He even accommodated a few changes while the installation was still being done.The installation crew was prompt and finished the job within the estimated time frame (Weather permitting). One could tell by the effort they put into it that they cared about the quality of their work. They even added a few personal touches to make the gutters function more efficiently. And they cleaned up after themselves too !!! Follow up after the job was complete was also very good. Overall it was a positive experience and we are quite happy with the workmanship. "I contacted Lombardo Restoration on May 15 to purchase an Angie's List Big Deal for $349 to repair and/or replace several electrical outlets in our home which I thought had been damaged as a result of a lightening strike during a recent electrical storm. Leonard arrived on time May 30 as scheduled. After inspecting the problem areas he determined that they could be corrected by resetting a GFCI outlet located in our basement storage area that had been hidden by a portable clothes closet. He offered to accept $50 for correcting the basement problem, $20 for replacing a damaged GFCI outlet in our garage, and refund our $349 Big Deal original purchase price.
