"Overall, it went well. This project involved not only the sump pump drains, but also improvements to downspouts drainage and adding a drain to an area of our backyard where water runs off a hill. It involved removing rocks from a landscaped dry creek drainage area and placing a large drain pipe to handle the volume of water from both the sump pump and the hillside. When I advised them that the end of the drainage pipe at the street was not placed in the best location, the owner of the company came out and found a good solution and the staff corrected the problem very promptly. The owner assured me he would make sure we were completely satisfied with their work, and he made sure that happened.
Prior to the project beginning, the owner offered to meet with our next door neighbor to discuss what they would be doing, since the work was at the border of our yards and slightly impacted his yard..
We have used this company a number of times in the past couple of years and are satisfied with their performance. We will continue to use them in the future.

"We recently discovered water on our basement floor. Although our home is older (1937), the previous owners had not experienced any water problems in the basement and we hadn?t either during the four years we have owned the home.  The source of the water was mysterious as it was not located near a drain. We also eliminated the possibility of an overhead pipe leak. Our next step was to contact a professional contractor to explore options. We selected ARW (Advanced Restoration & Waterproofing) since they have an excellent reputation on Angie?s List.
The company representative spent a significant amount of time with us discussing the issue and possible options.  When he was uncertain about the answer to some of our questions, he sought out the answers with the owner of the company and some of the crew that would actually be doing the work. Since the water was seeping in from an invisible crack in the floor and the problem was isolated to one corner of the basement, we opted for a ?mini? waterproofing system instead of a system for the entire basement. This seemed like a good first step to determine if it would take care of the problem without the expense and extent of construction required for a full system.
The system we had constructed consists of a sixteen-foot trench along the basement wall that terminates in a sump pit. ARW installed a high-quality sump pump and a battery back-up. The logic is that the system will relieve water pressure underneath the basement and eliminate the water seepage through the basement floor.
The ARW crew was very courteous, informing us along the way which task they would tackle next and the approximate time they would start and end each day.  The advance notice was extremely important to us when they began using the 90 lb. jack hammer!  The ARW crew had everything covered in sheet plastic and cleaned up the dust and debris nicely.  When it came to the outside work, we understood that some of the plants and shrubs would be in the path of the drain pipe and might be destroyed.  With the advance notice given by the ARW crew, we were able to relocate most of the plants.  We were impressed when the crew actually helped us move some of the plants.  They were also careful working around those plants & shrubs that were not relocated.
Although we have not had the quantity of rain we had earlier this year, there have not been any water issues in our basement since installing the mini waterproofing system.  If, in the future, we need to install a more complete system in the
basement, we will not hesitate to contract with ARW."

FAQs for drain line breakage camera locate projects in Brownstown, IN

French drain repairs generally include cleaning to remove clogs or replacing damaged pipes. Drain cleaning costs between $150 and $200 per hour. If replacement is necessary, the cost to install a French drain can run up to $5,000, depending on its type and location.

Trenchless sewer replacement costs between $60 and $250 per foot but is usually not an option for interior plumbing lines. Plumbers typically only use this approach for outside sewer pipes.

Unless you can see a clog through a drain or cracked pipe under a sink, you may be unable to identify its location. To find the problem, your plumber may test your water pressure at specific points or use a sewer camera.

Common signs that a drain pipe requires repair include slowly draining water, backups, regular clogs, strange gurgling sounds, or foul odors from the drain. Also, contact a plumber if you can see rust or oxidation on a drain pipe under the sink or in the basement.

The cost to repair a sink drain pipe can be as low as $100, covering the cost of a plumber’s labor for one to two hours. If the pipe needs to be replaced or is difficult to access, costs could climb up to $500.
