"My fan would not work with the air conditioner, however it would work without the air conditioner so it was an electrical problem with the electronics of the furnace. Wabash Plumbing could have taken advantage of me, but they did not. What could of cost $100s, cost less that $60.00 and it my air conditioner up and running quickly."

"The two gentlemen called before they came. They finished the next day on schedule and the bill was what was quoted even though they ended up having do a little more than they originally thought. They answered all my questions and cleaned up after themselves. Everything is working great now and we are very happy."

"He checked out the unit to make sure nothing else is wrong. He was here for an hour trying to figure out what was wrong and he tore everything apart to see if there is any way he could fix it without me having to spend money for a part. When he went home, he found that he had a used part. He said he could put it in for me and he wouldn't charge me for it. I would just have to pay for labor and it wouldn’t have a warranty on it. He was trying to help me and get me by for a little while. However, I just went ahead and put in the new part. He was here for at least an hour and a half if not more and he charged me $50 an hour. I think it's really reasonable price and the furnace is running beautifully now."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Buckskin, IN

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
