"Overall, I had an outstanding experience with everyone from John Krause Construction. Their customer service was most impressive. They asked about and worked around my schedule, were all prompt, courteous and friendly, and showed a true desire to complete the work to my satisfaction. Their explanations of the work to be done and the time it would take were clear and accurate. They started the work in less than a week after I signed the contract, and completed it in a week. This was well beyond my expectations since a lot needed to be done, including drywall repair and painting some hard to reach areas, shingle repair, gutter cleaning, and concrete step repair. Their cost estimate was competitive and fair. There were a couple hiccups along the way, including matching the interior paint color and trouble with installing a door handle, but everything worked out ok. I would certainly hire them again for any general home repairs/improvements."

"This was definitely a 5 star operation from the initial discussions to the finishing touches! For a major renovation and upgrade to our master bathroom we reviewed potential contractors and their customer comments. VKB stood out. Our VKB designer Sean clearly has artistic talent and lots of design experience. He patiently worked with us, showing us 3D design options as we considered alternative configurations and materials. When we were satisfied with the design, Sean transitioned us smoothly to the build phase, introducing Jason as our project manager and Walter as our crew chief. Sean personally familiarized Jason with the project, inviting us to share our thoughts and any concerns. During the renovation, Walter and his crew would carefully isolate the MBR work from the rest of the house, sealing off the room and path to the front door with plastic barriers and floor coverings every morning and remove them every evening. Everyone was polite and sensitive to our living space. Jason was responsive to our wishes to refine several design aspects as the work proceeded, and Walter and his crew smoothly made the alterations. After the main construction was completed Jason remained very attentive to our ‘punch list’ of remaining details and our questions until all had been resolved. Walter ensured very high-quality work down to the finest detail. All the work from design to completion was well within the timeframe we had hoped. In the end, we have a beautiful MBR well beyond our original expectations!"

"Melvin and his workers showed up on time and prepared to make the repairs. They replaced a large section of drywall in the ceiling in one bedroom and a smaller section in a second bedroom that was damaged as a result of the roof leaking. They also repainted the ceilings. The work was flawless in that you could not tell that only a section had been replaced. I also hired them to repair some damaged drywall in the kitchen."

"After a break-in, I needed to get my doors replaced. The reviews on Angie's List helped me select Supreme Window and Door with added confidence. From start to finish, the process was easy and the pricing fair. All the staff were professional and courteous.
The sale representative (Albert) was knowledgeable about the product line. He answered my questions and worked with me to find a product right for me and within my budget. He explained the different features and options - but i never felt pressured. Eric and the rest of the installation team did a beautiful job installing the doors: they were professional, neat and kept me informed throughout the job.
Besides just "selling and installing" my doors, Albert and Eric went above and beyond the written contract and were gracious in volunteering to help me with a few handyman-type small jobs I needed after the break-in: helping to install a new motion-detector light and fixing a broken wooden gate. These were small "chores", but the extra effort they took to quickly install a new backyard security light and to fix the broken gate helped me feel more secure after the break-in incident. Knowing about my situation with the break-in, everyone at Supreme Window and Door worked to expedite the process and get my new doors ordered and installed as soon as possible.

"Silkrock twice missed appointments with no notice or calls.  We had an appointment that was missed on 28 July.  I contacted Silkrock and they owned up to the mistake and rescheduled the appointment which I confirmed both with the project manager and with the front office scheduler (H. Morgan) via phone and email.  The rescheduled appointment came and went (5 August) without as much as a phone call. Ms. Morgan did respond by email recommending that I call the project manager.  Given that Silkrock was the one that had missed my appointment, I didn't think that I should be chasing down the project manager when I had other appointments and errands to do on the day I had taken off work.  The project manager has dropped by my place a few days later -- unannounced.  I give Silkrock credit for attempting to make things right, but the manner in which it was done (no coordination, no calls) did not instill me with confidence that a remodel with all of its scheduling issues and deliveries would be well managed.

 I'm pretty laid back and flexible and all I need is for someone to reach out to me -- directly.  Its a shame. I really liked what I saw on their website and read online (including Angies List).  I'm hoping that there were mitigating circumstances, but at this point I'll go with a different contractor."
