"Wonderful, professional group!! Patio is absolutely gorgeous. Can’t say enough in regards to the quality of work but I must say the group that came out was so respectful of my home and yard. Patio and landscaping was done in a timely fashion. Will hire them again in a heartbeat! Need trees planted and more shrubbery. Have already called and they have given me a very reasonable quote. Can’t wait."

"They covered our entire 1/2 acre property which a few years back was the runner-up in the Baltimore Sun's best gardens review. Edged and cleared out all of our beds, spread 10 yards of mulch, and rebuilt a 70 yard long french drain. Our neighbors commented "It's looks like something you see in a magazine." We agree! Amazing team -- so polite, attention to detail, and hard working. Love these guys!"

"I just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed working with Shawn and Creative Equity Builders. From the meeting with us at his supplier to select our materials to the care and attention to details as the renovation proceeded, Shawn and his team made our project unique. Clearly impressive was Shawn's artistic flair with the design of our smaller bathroom. Creative Equity Builders' design and build go beyond the what you would expect from a local contractor. "Barry Gladstone did a wonderful job. He is a true professional - he showed up on time, ready to work, and did what he committed to do, in a timely fashion. He also left my yard in better shape than when he arrived by cleaning the sidewalks and removing all dirt and debris when he finished the project. He and his team hand dug a trench that ran along the side of the house to carefully look for pipes (he found three) and wires (he found the ground wire). He also found a large underground tree stump with multiple roots. My neighborhood was built in the 1940's and most houses have additions, so the utility history has not always been reliable. Barry's careful hand and attention to detail prevented problems from developing. He also removed the perennials and grass is such a way that he was easily able to replant after back filling the trench. In addition, Barry volunteered to bring fresh sod to patch bare areas in the lawn. The second day of the job, Barry returned, on time, to repair the cement sidewalk and cut bluestone to repair the stone path way. Both sidewalks look great. All in all, I am very pleased with the work performed by The Outdoor Connection. I would definitely use this company again and highly recommend them for landscape and hardscape projects"

"I would highly recommend Kenwood Kitchens and Bath. We had removed the existing shower stall, but soon realized that the project was beyond our do-it-yourself talents. Steve saved us lots of time and energy and after the selections were made at the Columbia show room, the project moved along well. Within one week, the plumber, tile man, and shower doors were installed. No messy clean up for me, and Perfection! Very happy with the results."

"We truly cannot say enough good things about Tom and his crew. Tom repeatedly came to our house during the design phase to ensure that the final product was exactly what we had envisioned. He made several great suggestions during the process. He responded to phone calls and emails. He was always punctual. In order to finish the job in time for an event that was held at our home, Tom and his crew needed to start on July 17th. The job started on July 17th and continued through the hottest period of this summer. They worked diligently regardless of the frequently oppressive heat.
They took great care in accessing our property (through our neighbor' yard), creating as little disruption as possible. We have dogs - they were always cognizant to replace the fence each evening so that I wouldn't have to worry about dogs escaping. Upon completion of the job, Tom and his crew graded the area that had served as the staging area, seeded it and then covered it with hay.
The finished product is truly amazing - it is everything we had hoped and beyond. The quality of the workmanship is evident throughout the project. Everyone who has seen it is in awe. It was a very big undertaking and I'm sure taxed Tom throughout the process but he delivered exactly what we wanted, he delivered it on time and he delivered it as it was originally budgeted. We firmly believe we could not
have found a better contractor for this job. We highly recommend Tom Powel and Outdoor Additions."

FAQs for outdoor kitchen building service projects in Butler, MD

Building your own pizza oven can be a cost-effective option if you already possess the necessary firebricks or materials and have the skills to complete the project. When you have the required supplies on hand, you save on material costs and labor fees. However, if you need to source every component, a pre-made kit may not deliver the same savings.

Fire bricks are engineered to withstand the high temperatures generated inside a pizza oven, protecting the structure from cracking or spalling. Standard bricks can fail under intense heat, potentially damaging the oven and creating safety risks. By using true fire-rated bricks, homeowners maintain consistent cooking temperatures, preserve the oven’s structural integrity, and reduce the likelihood of costly repairs. The modest increase in material cost is offset by longer service life and safer operation.

An optimal pizza oven installation positions the opening exactly between 36 and 48 inches above the ground to guarantee clear visibility and safe, comfortable access. This height optimizes heat distribution and ergonomic use. In addition, dome height can vary: shorter domes produce the signature soft, charred crust of Neapolitan pies, whereas taller domes are ideal for generating the robust baking environment required for New York–style pizzas.
