"I'm working on a large project in the Pittsburgh area. The building was previously condemned despite being in good condition. In order to remove the condemnation, the city wanted a report from an engineer to verify that it was safe to occupy. Bob came to the site when he said he would and took his time walking throughout the entire structure. He was able to offer insight on how the building was constructed and advice on things we could do to reduce our construction and maintenance costs (which was WAY outside of the scope of work I was paying for). I was extremely pleased with his work. Many engineers & architects come across as dry and dare I say arrogant. Bob was easy going and polite. A breathe of fresh air in that line of work. The price they quoted was a little higher than the other two estimates we received, but the degree of expertise and professionalism was well worth that price, particularly for an expensive and long lasting investment in our home. "Roy is a very professional, very competent engineer.  I stayed with him for the entirety of his evaluation as we walked around my house taking measurements.  Being an engineer myself (although in a completely different field), I was curious to see what methods and techniques Roy would use.  He was very methodical in his evaluation... as he made measurements he explained to what he was doing at each step of the way, and occasionally asked me questions.   It was an interactive meeting, and at the end I felt like I had a better understanding of what was going on as well as what I should do to correct it. <br /> I will say that based on my technical background, Roy and I agreed that he did not need to write up a formal report, since we had basically discussed his evaluation as he was doing it.  This ended up saving me some money since Roy didn't have to make his report up. <br />"
