"We bought a "fixer upper" in Troy in the summer of 2018 and the entire HVAC system was 20+ years old. After doing a lot of research I decided I wanted an American Standard Furnace and AC system because consumer reports rated them as the most reliable brand. Tony was one of the few contractors that offered American Standard Products. I took bids from 5 different contractors for the furnace and hot water heater. Tony came out himself to look around and give the initial bid. He was very personable and was happy to answer all my questions. And I will tell you honestly I had a lot of questions. I meticulously researched Furnaces and Hot water heaters before I was ready to drop thousands of dollars. Tony emailed me back and forth 3 or 4 times answering questions before I finally awarded Custom Temperature Control the contract. Installation of the furnace and hot water heater was mostly problem free. I do give honest reviews so I will say there was one issue. When I brought this up to Tony, he came out himself the next morning to rectify it. 6 months later summer was approaching and it was time for a new AC system. Once again I did a lot research and took bids for several contractors. Once again Tony came out for more than an hour and went over my questions with me. Once gain he followed that with about 3 or 4 email exchanges providing answers to my detailed questions. And once again he was the lowest bid… by far. For an identical set of AC coils and compressor his bid was between $400 and $1,000 less than the other contractors. The other contractors had quality reviews on Angie’s list as well, but not as many total reviews as Tony. He also included a new a line, something the other contractors wanted to charge me additional money for (or use the old line which I read was not a safe bet). Installation of the AC system went smoothly. It’s clear to me Tony beats out his competitors on price, customer service, and customer satisfaction. One other thing that I like about Tony is that he offers multiple HVAC brands. Most places only offer 1 brand. Tony offers as many as 5 if I recall correctly. To me this says he puts the customer first because he is willing to offer a variety of choices instead of pushing one brand. I would recommend Custom Temperature Control to all my friends and family."

"Both Debbie and Duane were extremely helpful and honest that the parts and repairs needed would exceed the value of the refrigerator, (compressor, circuit board, and possibly other electronic parts). Debbie was efficient and friendly when taking my call for repair right before Christmas, and promised to help us get a tech ASAP - which she did! (Other repair shops I called were either closed or said they couldn’t be our until well after Christmas. ) Duane came out on Christmas Eve day, inspected the issues with the fridge and professionally explained the cause of failure, parts needed and cost of each and the risk of other problems even after spending the $900+ to repair that day. He was very knowledgeable and went the extra mile to share his recommendations on finding a good replacement fridge when he didn’t think it logical to repair our current unit. I will call Stellar Appliance Repair again, and highly recommend this company to others looking for quick communications, professional and fair service repairs of their appliances."

"Transport happened two days late even after an uplift in service to assure the vehicle move happened before or on the target move date. My main issue was the communications of an issue, I was informed the morning of the day the vehicle was suppose to be off the property. Then there was no projected date for resolving the issue that I could pass on the the new property owner and no lead time to allow me to find other carriers to handle the move. Auto Transport - United Freight Of America did continue to work the issue and a new transport was provided two days later however I found out about that 1 hour before the truck was going to meet me at the property. I had arranged to have an alternate transport occur on Friday just before I got the call however I was able to cancel the Friday transport. The C rating would have been a B if there was more communication and if there was a maybe selection for "would I use them again" I would have selected that."

"We were worried because gas line could not be run exactly where it needed to be for the insert, but it was no problem. Within a couple hours they installed chimney liner, cap, box and logs, and sent us YouTube handy tutorials of our newly installed fireplace. Nice!"

"I have multiple chemical sensitivities and was looking for a good insulation that wouldn't offgas and was least likely to cause a reaction. I spoke with Jonathan at Blanket Insulation who was the first person who made me feel "heard." He did a lot of research on his own and even came out twice to quote a few different options. Ultimately, we went with a company that had a vendor-specific insulation that Blanket didn't carry. However, pricing was on par with other quotes we received, and Jonathan was incredibly helpful. (Also, he was getting married--so Jonathan, best wishes for many happy years!!) I would recommend them for traditional insulation."

"Overall the project went extremely well. Ted took the time and explained to us what would happen, how long it would take and when he would start the project. Ted was very accomodating to our schedules. We had to postpone our original start date due to an illness in our family. He asked us to let him know when we were ready for him to start. Once we were ready he told us what day he would start and what time he would be over. He was right on time every day. His sub-contractors he used for some the work were nice and very respectful. During the project we had scheduled a window installation in our master bath. He worked with the window installers so they could get the window in and not affect timing on the completion of his project. He completed the project in the timeframe he estimated. Overall the quality of work was outstanding. Ted followed up on completion of the project and if there were any issues. There were a couple of small issues with the countertop installation which he came out quickly and took care of. <br /> <br /> Ted is certainly one of the best contractors I have dealt with. I would use him again and have recommended him to some of my other family members for work they are interested in having done."
