"Installed 15 piers. Excavated around the eastern side of house all the way down to the foundation, installed the brackets, did the lift. In addition, they installed a membrane around the basement walls while they were exposed to help prevent water leakage. They verified that all the cracks and gaps were closed as much as possible, and filled in whatever cracks remained with either caulk (for the smaller ones) or mortar for the couple of places where the cinder block had broken so it didn't close completely with the lift. Steve kept me updated on what was being done throughout the process, and his site boss and team were outstanding. It took them 6 days to get it all done, during one of the hottest weeks in recent history (95-106 degrees F). They even added a wall anchor after determining that the wall with most of the cracking was slightly bowed after the lift was completed. Can't recommend these guys highly enough."

"Jay did a great job on the arches around the garage doors. I was very impressed with how responsive Jay was when I would reach out to him. He set expectations up front with his current work load and when he would be able to make it out to the house. I thought the bid was very reasonable and the work he did was very good. He even used the original brick that he cut from the arches to match the current brick. The garages now look great and I couldn't be more happy. <br />"

"I had a great experience with Mike and his team. My husband and I had never done a big remodel before and Mike held our hands every step of the way. The kitchen was completely gutted and I could not be happier with the work that he did. Everything came out even better than anticipated and on budget too! It took about a week longer than expected, but only because the team was determined to get every last detail perfect."

"I met Jay at my neighbor's house where he was doing some foundation repair. I had been frustrated with another contractor because of non-responsiveness but Jay had business business cards ready and he responded promptly to calls and texts. He looked over my job an sent me a written estimate promptly. Then he scheduled the work to begin within a few days. He had to work around rainy weather, and he ran into a delay because he could not get concrete locally on short notice. But he stuck with it and got the job done. The scope of the job expanded because we discovered parts of the old foundation we thought initially were sound, were not. So ultimately he did about twice as much work as we initially expected.  <br /> Jay and his helper were polite and they worked quickly and steadily. It was clear throughout that Jay knew what he was doing. And he had all of the proper tools to do the job. <br /> I was completely satisfied with the work Jay did, and I plan to call him again for additional work on my old house. <br />"

"Very nice person and very responsive but I didn't feel comfortable that they never looked at my roof or house in order to provide what amounted to nothing more than an email with little detail about their bid.  It might be an acceptable method of bidding a job but seemed awful casual and disinterested to me."

"Contreras does exceptional concrete work! They completely replaced concrete stairs and the adjacent sidewalk. They stayed on schedule and worked all day, everyday until the project was complete. They cleaned up the site and hauled away the old concrete etc. We have decided to start another concrete project and asked them to come back . Our neighbors have also used them and feel, like us, that we wouldn’t want anyone else to do the work!"

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Cedar Bluffs, NE

Brick siding offers numerous advantages, including high durability and resistance to harsh weather conditions, requiring minimal maintenance and lasting for generations. It provides natural insulation, enhancing energy efficiency by regulating indoor temperatures year-round. Brick is fire-resistant, improving home safety, and reduces external noise for a quieter indoor environment. Its timeless aesthetic appeal boosts curb appeal and can increase your home's resale value.

Yes, you can add brick to an existing house. One option is to remove the current siding and install full brick masonry, which involves laying traditional bricks with mortar for a solid brick exterior. Alternatively, you can opt for brick veneer siding, a thinner layer of real or manufactured brick applied over the existing structure. Brick veneer is typically more affordable and easier to install while still providing the aesthetic benefits of brick. Both methods can enhance your home's appearance and value.

Yes, installing brick siding often provides a significant return on investment. With an average ROI of around 77%, and some returns exceeding 80%, brick siding enhances curb appeal, energy efficiency, and longevity, making your home more attractive to potential buyers and potentially increasing resale value.

Brick siding is known for its exceptional longevity, often lasting over 100 years when properly maintained. Regular maintenance, like repointing mortar joints, ensures its durability over time. Brick veneer, while thinner than full brick masonry, is durable and can last up to 50 years or more with proper care. Both options offer long-lasting protection and value for your home.

When choosing brick siding, consider your budget, as costs can vary depending on brick type and installation method. Also, consider your desired aesthetic; different bricks offer various colors, textures, and styles to complement your home's architecture. Installation time and complexity are factors, with options like brick veneer being quicker and less labor-intensive than full brick masonry. Additionally, assess the maintenance requirements and durability to select the best option for your long-term needs.

Alternatives to brick siding include vinyl siding, which is cost-effective and low-maintenance and offers a variety of colors and styles. Wood siding provides a natural, classic look but requires more upkeep to prevent weather damage. Fiber cement siding is durable and can mimic the appearance of wood or masonry without the high maintenance. Each alternative has its own advantages, so consider factors like budget, aesthetics, and maintenance when making your choice.
