Long story short: he offered his time and expertise at no charge to me and put us on a path to a solution that ultimately didn't benefit his company. They showed up right on time, removed the old water heater and promptly installed the new one. He was able to pinpoint the issues I was having obtaining heat and, in the process, providing a more important service. This by detecting a significant potential health risk to the system when operating at capacity with elevated levels of carbon monoxide readings present in the combustion test and the necessity of having a chimney/fireplace sweep and cleaning conducted. "I have a service contract with them. They ran the line in the basement and connected it to the stove. They had to be creative because they were running lines in an area not made for it. They came and did the job in one visit and haven't had any issues. It took about half of a day to complete this job.  I could have shopped around and gotten a cheaper price. I was comfortable with them. I didn't feel the need to go out and compare prices. I have a service contract with them."
