"Saved by Ehrhardt Brothers Quality Plumbing (a.k.a ColumbiaPlumber)! (West of Baltimore) Our gas water-heater failed! It’s 30° outside! (Mar 2026). It was leaking, so we shut off the gas, the pilot, and the water inlet, to lessen damage if it burst. Ehrhardt offered a price based on our descriptions and photos, of course with caveats for anything unexpected. A water-heater costs a pretty-penny, but less than we expected. A fair price. They came the next morning, and had the water heater replaced in 90min. Impressive. But the manufacturer sent a unit with a bad pilot! Ehrhardt returned immediately and in 30min, they figured it out. They had a replacement part over-nighted. The next morning, in 30min, done. Hot water. AAAAAHHH :-) The problem was the manufacturer’s fault, and Ehrhardt handled it flawlessly: Excellent communication by Ehrhardt, priority attention to our problem, no excuses, just fast resolution. "This was a last second thing. Our hot water heater died on us. Left him a message on Tuesday afternoon. He showed up first thing next morning. Right on time. Discussed the job and he gave me a estimate with a small window. And he said he could have me back with hot water in a few hours. Sure enough less then 3 hours later I’m back running. Very good and clean job. Very professional with all aspects of the job which was nice. Best part of it all when it’s time to pay his his price was barely over the low end of his estimate. They tried to pull the new line through but were unsuccessful so they eventually had to trench through my yard to install the new copper line. In order to do this, they did have to cut through my concrete driveway which I had to get patched. After some adjustments were made with the new water pressure valve the system works great."
