"Called Dash (Airconex Heating & Cooling) to inquire about coming out to look at a loud humming coming from AC unit. He came out later that same day to inspect, most other places couldn't make it for 2-3 days. Upon inspecting the unit, we talked through together that the 20 year old AC unit should be replaced. I dealt with many salesmen in my time trying to upsell, Dash definitely gave me his honest opinion and was more than willing to only do the repair needed to keep the AC unit running. It was my personal preference to go ahead and get furnace done as well as it was just as old. The quote he gave me came in much lower than the others I received. Due to a cancellation, I was able to get in next day. Dash and his son showed up on time and installed both AC and furnace in under 6 hours. I am VERY please with the quality of work done for the installations. I would 100% recommend these guys! Honest opinion, honest advice and all around good respectful guys. Took care of surrounding areas of house inside and outside, great cleanup and removal of units too. DO NOT hesitate to call these guys for an inspection and or an estimate!"

Small jobs welcome

"Chris came on a Sunday morning during our 90 degree string of temperatures within an hour of my call. He clearly explained the problem with our air conditioner and showed us the part that needed to be replaced. He was very personable and respectful at this time of COVID-19 by wearing a mask and keeping an appropriate distance. Thank you Young HVAC for such a prompt repair!"

"Ali, owner called within 30 minutes of my request for a quote. He asked what was wrong with the furnace, I told him. He told me he could get someone to me by 10a and to try my best to stay warm. Ali the worker came to service my furnace at 10.15a. He smiled. Introduced himself and came with plastic disposable shoes to wear in the house. He was able to get my heat working in less than hour. Very professional company. "

"J Brown mechanical (Jay at J Brown mechanical) is: knowledgeable, passionate, considerate, along with kind/honest in his work. He does what is best for his customer, not what is best for his pocket book. We had a previous company charge us $100 for a call, to only tell us we needed to spend 6k on a new furnace--leaving us cold with a few weeks wait for his services.. My husband called Jay and he was able to fix the furnace for less than $300. The other company only wanted a big sale.. Jay fixed our furnace that day (it is still working), buying us time to save to replace our 20 yr plus furnace.. He will let you know the honest pros and cons of doing one thing or another--he is as I said extremely honest and knowledgeable. His prices are fair and he will try to do what he can to stay within your budget. Jay is the type of business person you want to do your job. One that not only know his stuff. but will watch out for your interest. I have another heating and cooling job, and I have hired Brown Mechanical once again. Jay and his team are awesome!!!!! FAQs for central a/c service or repair projects in Clinton Township, MI

A condenser fan motor is a crucial part of your air conditioner that prevents the compressor from overheating. It pulls heat from your AC unit to cool the refrigerant moving through the condenser coils. This allows your system to blow cool air and keeps everything running smoothly.

The most common causes of AC fan motor failure include loss of lubricant in the system due to overheating and a rusted or leaking run capacitor. Poor lubrication can also cause failure in the belt drive, which may impact the AC fan motor. Weather and electrical components can also affect your AC. For example, a storm could send water into your motor windings and damage the internal components.

Air conditioner fan motors last about 12 years on average, though they can last longer if maintained well. This includes keeping them clean and cooled as needed with annual air conditioner checkups. Routine maintenance is essential to catch AC fan issues early. An HVAC inspection can cost between $70 and $500, while AC cleaning services may range from $100 to $400.

A broken AC fan motor may need replacement because this part usually can’t be repaired. Several things indicate it’s time to replace your AC fan motor, including buzzing noises, a constantly running fan, unusually high energy bills, or an aging system. If you notice these signs, call an HVAC pro for help before the faulty motor starts to strain other parts of the AC system.

There are clear warning signs of a bad AC fan motor, including unusual interruptions in the fan operation. The motor might be malfunctioning if you hear weird noises like grinding or rattling or if the fan continues to spin when the unit is off. These indicators compromise your AC’s cooling performance and increase your energy costs. Addressing these issues immediately by contacting a trusted HVAC professional prevents further damage and safeguards your HVAC's efficiency.

Replacing your AC fan motor takes a professional one to four hours. The technician will start by assessing your system and safely removing the damaged motor. If a new part needs to be ordered, it might take a few days. Once the part is available, your pro will install it properly and make sure your system is running smoothly.
