"Brian is my go to for all things plumbing and gas. He is responsive, like visits and calls, and then gives a professional assessment of the job and a fair price. His team is friendly, competent, and just plain do a great job. They have completed two propane pipe installations and appliance conversions and other minor repairs for me. I couldn't recommend All Good more highly, it's a team you can trust."

"Jose arrived & went directly to work. Had the drains cleared in nothing flat. Then gave us recommendations for keeping the drains cleared. Very prompt. We also hired his company to install a new kitchen faucet set when another person messed up the one there. Again very impressed by the work ethos. Very refreshing."

"He was correct that the smell was from a toilet wax ring. It had moved off center. He replaced with a new one & also glued down the toilet so it would be more secure & less likely to cause new wax ring to slip. He also replaced the dripping faucet with a new valve. "

"I called Mr. Obrien's office #, his scheduler was able to schedule him with us for the very next day, which was nice instead of waiting around for people to call you back. He arrived promptly at the agreed upon time. After we explained our concerns of a gas smell in the closet our water heater is in, he did some testing. He thoroughly tested all the junctions of the propane lines and found one that was in fact, leaking. After his repair, he left. He was very tidy, personable. In hind site, I realized I used Mr. Obrien quite a few years ago for some light plumbing work during our kitchen remodel. We were very happy with him after that use as well."

"The whole repair went quite smoothly. The company came out a number of times to do work, but because of PGE power shutoffs, they were obliged to keep returning. Eventually they found the plumbing problem and fixed it in one afternoon. I was very appreciative."

"We had a main sewer line clog that backed up water to all our facilities. After trying to deal with our home warranty company we elected to contract ourselves. It was late evening on Sunday night and it was difficult finding anyone to come out, However Crystal Blue did. Tom was our technician and was great! He explained what he was going to do and provided excellent work. My only minor disappointment was the price, since it was a Sunday night, rates were very high ($350hr), however I understand given the day and time. It was in line with other company's quotes. <br />"

"It was great! Completely hassle free. 3D plumbing came out and installed the water heater in an afternoon, fixed the leak, and installed the kitchen sink. They came in, inspected the water heater. gave us recommendations, and then let us know of the cost and time frame in which they would be able to replace it. There were absolutely no messes to clean up after their repair, and the staff were extremely nice. We have had our new water heater for 4 months now and have had no problems. The sink is beautiful and I'm very happy that they took the time to install it for us. Overall I am happy with the services of 3D Plumbing. I would recommend them to anyone for any plumbing issues that come up."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Colfax, CA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
