"Even though I have read some negative comments about their plumbing's prices, I wanted to give them a chance as I had a fairly good experience on the HVAC side. Unfortunately, I am afraid the comments were right! I called them for a leak in my basement related to a water drain from the second floor bathrooms. Before starting, Matt explain to me he had to go through a "pluming diagnostics" of the entire house and systems that is a flat fee of $497 (based on the age of the house) for: Unlimited Time to find the problem, One level 1 to 2 repair included with diagnostic, performance check, whole home water quality analysis, including chlorine, water hardness, and total dissolved solids, confirmation that system is safe, reliable, and energy efficient, Applies to equipment 6-20+ years old, main drain, water pressure/water temperature over 1500 sqft, tankless water heater. Basically a fee to "find the leak" and anything else that could be wrong in my house in order to give me suggestions for additional repairs that go on top of the "diagnostic fee", unless it is a level 1 or 2 repair that you probably never have anyway...! I my case Matt's listed 3 options: - $4.193 (repair copper drain, new washing machine hoses, install pressure valve and new 50 Gal water heater) - $1.467 (repair copper drain, new washing machine hoses, install pressure valve). Meaning $2.726 for the water heater alone. Or $631 (repair copper drain, new washing machine hoses). Meaning $836 for the pressure valve alone! I told him I could do the machine hoses myself and asked him how much it would be just to fix the leak => $364. That means the charge to change 2 $10 hoses is $267!! By the way, they don't deduct the $79 service call if you are not part of the Membership Program, charge an additional $14 for "Transfer Fuel Surcharge" and didn't discount the $50 coupon. Bottom line my invoice was $497 + $79 + $14 + $364 = $954. Fortunately, I talked to Kristy from Customer Service the following day and got the $50 coupon applied and got an additional $50 off after my open and direct discussion with her. Thank you Kristy. Still, I believe the all process was a bit complicated for a leak and would have to try a different plumber next time. Further more, what's going on with the "Plumbing Diagnostic" fee if they have to come again later on during the year for another issue? I surely wouldn't need another "check" of my entire house..."

"We recently moved into our new house and had new a new washer and dryer installed. They did a GREAT job! : ) Upon their departure, I asked if they do other plumbing stuff and they said yes, so I asked for a card for future calls. (I was planning on contacting them to do other plumbing stuff in the near future). Out of the blue a couple weeks later, our kitchen faucet started seeping water through one of the joints above the sink. I looked under the sink to find a HUGE puddle, so I found the card they left and called these guys to see if they could come out, take a look and fix it. The gal that answered their phone said that they were in our area and would be there shortly, but that it would be a $65 charge just for coming out ( when I asked her how much she thought it would run) and said that it would actually be the owner that would come out. I also asked the scheduling gal if he'd have time to install a shower-head and possibly a faucet in a different bathroom, too, and she said that he could do that as well. I was pleasantly surprised to hear him at our door in less than an hour. Great response time! He was very professional, courteous, polite, etc. Definitely a nice guy. : ) As he looked at the faucet, he examined it above and underneath the sink, etc. He tightened a few bolts and said that it was as tight as it could be, but that the leak was still happening because the discs (actual name for it?? it's the piece that is in between the swiveling part of the faucet and the base) were shot. Said that there was nothing else he could do because he didn't carry anything with him to repair it (discs, washers, new faucet at that time etc etc. We either needed to order new parts for the discs or get a new faucet entirely and then they could come out and install it for us. Since he was a plumber, I thought "well, if he says its shot, then it's shot!" He gave me an estimate of how much it would cost to have a new one installed ($150). I asked if he could install the other shower-head and faucet while he was here that day b/c the gal on the phone said he could. He said that he would give this type of job to the guy who liked doing these household types of jobs and said that they could come back out to do all of the installs when they come back to install the new sink/parts that we were going to probably order. He wrote up an estimate for what he said the other installs/services in the house would be. Again, he was very courteous/kind. I have to admit, though, I was very disappointed with the lack of results from his visit: 1) The work he on the kitchen sink had no results, and little time investigating it; 2) the fact that he didn't take the time to install the new bathroom faucet and shower-head I had here on hand that the gal on the phone said he could do; and 3) the fact that it cost $65 to have him come out and tighten some bolts, and no results were obtained. I called my husband at work and told him the scenario. He advised me to not schedule them to come back out, but to pay their truck fee ($65) and be done with it. He also advised that we call someone else to come take a second look, and so we called a general contractor in our area (see: Shold Contruction Services). The interesting thing is this... It was near the end of the day when we called the other contractor (about the kitchen sink), but his scheduler said that she'd give him a call and see if he could stop out. She quickly called us back saying that he was in the area and would be there in just a little bit. When he arrived, he took a good look at the sink, located where the actual leak was coming from (be simply pulling out the neck/sprayer of the faucet!) and worked on that part to fix it. He took a look at the inner fittings of the faucet's sprayerhead and adjusted them. I think it took him maybe 20-25 minutes to fully repair the faucet and eliminate the leak. He was a general contractor -- not a plumber! -- and he was able to fix it!!! It absolutely leaks NO MORE, and acutally even works better now! (no kidding!) All at WAY less than the plumber would've charged!!! What blows my mind is that an actual plumber didn't /couldn't fix the sink and simply 'diagnosed' it as having totally different faulty parts than actually needed to be fixed that, if we were to replace them or the entire faucet, would cost us around/upwards of $150 or so."
