Customers say: Quality work

"DOES NOT CHECK THEIR OWN WORK! I paid for regular checkup and ended up also paying for their recommended replacement of my contactor on the AC unit. After the work was done, I had to leave for an errand and came back to a HOT house, only to find that the tech did NOT turn my thermostat back on. He didn't tell me that I needed to do it, so basically, they're ok with leaving the customer in a lurch and NOT taking responsibility. I also had to call the next day to ask for an itemized receipt, since the tech never left me with a copy of what I paid for. Speaking of, they charged me $280 to replace the $40 part (massive labor charge), PLUS the $99 "service" fee. When they finally sent the invoice after I requested it twice, there was no itemization of the charges at all. This situation was so bad with how Robbins handled this scenario, that my husband called to try and rectify it. This company was recommended to me by my father-in-law, and I had been using them for the last three years. I will NEVER use them again, nor will I be recommending their services. No apology, no accountability, no good."

"I was not happy with their determination on my heater they came by my home within a reasonable time he catched my heater they determine my motherboard went out and needed to be replaced what cost me about eight hundred dollars i asked the person to check thermostat that I put in myself to make sure I wired it correctly they said that was not the problem a month went by i decided to reset the thermostat myself I rewired it and what do you know my heater works the main motherboard did not have to be replaced next time a customer asks to check the thermostat instead of telling the customer that is gonna cost you eight hundred dollars to replace something that was not broke i'm a very dissatisfied customer "

"He did a good job. But of course he didn’t do the estimate. That was done by Cory. A typical hourly rate for electrical work is $150 per hour and $200 even for emergency services. This wasn’t an emergency but even if we use that rate I should get a refund of $800."

"My mom was left without power to her entire house Matt got temporary power to her refrigerator and completely re-wired the entire house including new electrical boxes. He completed the work by himself over 3 visits and worked a 10 hour day on Sunday. Very personable and explained what he was finding throughout the house. Even shopped for a new light fixture that replaced one that may have caused the issue?s in the garage that was recently installed incorrectly. Had confidence in ability to complete the job."

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in Colorado Springs, CO

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
