"Saved by Ehrhardt Brothers Quality Plumbing (a.k.a ColumbiaPlumber)! (West of Baltimore) Our gas water-heater failed! It’s 30° outside! (Mar 2026). It was leaking, so we shut off the gas, the pilot, and the water inlet, to lessen damage if it burst. Ehrhardt offered a price based on our descriptions and photos, of course with caveats for anything unexpected. A water-heater costs a pretty-penny, but less than we expected. A fair price. They came the next morning, and had the water heater replaced in 90min. Impressive. But the manufacturer sent a unit with a bad pilot! Ehrhardt returned immediately and in 30min, they figured it out. They had a replacement part over-nighted. The next morning, in 30min, done. Hot water. AAAAAHHH :-) The problem was the manufacturer’s fault, and Ehrhardt handled it flawlessly: Excellent communication by Ehrhardt, priority attention to our problem, no excuses, just fast resolution. Great service staff. Perfect! "

"Well let me start by saying I called several water heater companies to inquire about an estimate for my hot water heater that was not getting real hot. He was the ONLY repair person to come out that gave me the feeling he was trying to fix my hot water heater and not trying to sale me a new hot water. "I discovered the broken toilet water supply line at 3 am, flooding our first-floor bathroom, and had to shut off the main water cutoff valve to the house to stop the flood. I went online, subscribed to Angie's List, searched for local plumbers, and read reviews of local repairs done recently. Heil Plumbing had great reviews, so I gave them a call at 6:10 am, hoping they would be able to schedule a repair soon. They checked their day's schedule, called me back in 15 minutes, and scheduled a plumber to arrive at my house between 9 and 10 am. Jose arrived even earlier, at 8:45. He assessed the problem, removed the broken line, and replaced it with a new supply line he had in his truck. The problem was repaired and we had our water back on in less than 15 minutes. It was a basic, straightforward repair, but I was impressed with the how quickly Heil Plumbing was able to schedule and complete the repair, and with Jose's professional attitude. The cost of $135 may seem like a lot for a simple job, but we needed it done quickly, and the price was in line with, or even a little less expensive than the cost of similar repairs by other companies I read about on Angie's List. Jose suggested some improvements for the future, like replacing the plastic pipe the previous owners installed in the 1990s, which we already knew about and plan to do someday. I am very pleased with Heil Plumbing's service, I will call them again if we have any problems in the future, and I'll certainly call them for an estimate when we are ready to do those plumbing improvements. <br />"
