"As always, the service was done in a complete and professional way. Air Systems installed our system five years ago and we have had them come back each year to provide maintenance to keep our system clean and working well. The cost for this service includes a spring AC maintenance and a fall heating maintenance and is well worth their reasonable fee. I would certainly recommend them for all heating and air conditioning service and repair."

"Never felt any pressure to buy a service or product I didn't need. They actually listened and spent time talking about options and a plan to get me through the summer and then discuss replacement options. I felt good about them from the very first call. That's how you do customer service!"

"I would like other prospective customers to know that these men will respect your domestic environment regardless of wet or muddy conditions and that they know their business. An absolute minimum amount of time will be spent on diagnosing the issue. They will have the part on hand if it is commonly in use and they will be out of your house, spending as little of your time and money as possible. I paid close attention to the condition of their service van while they were looking for my part and I observed that it was very well organized. I have worked in the service industry for a long time and I can appreciate their efficiency and professionalism. They seem to understand the value of repeat business and volume over milking a single service call. I recommend them without hesitation."

FAQs for central a/c service or repair projects in Converse, TX

A condenser fan motor is a crucial part of your air conditioner that prevents the compressor from overheating. It pulls heat from your AC unit to cool the refrigerant moving through the condenser coils. This allows your system to blow cool air and keeps everything running smoothly.

The most common causes of AC fan motor failure include loss of lubricant in the system due to overheating and a rusted or leaking run capacitor. Poor lubrication can also cause failure in the belt drive, which may impact the AC fan motor. Weather and electrical components can also affect your AC. For example, a storm could send water into your motor windings and damage the internal components.

Air conditioner fan motors last about 12 years on average, though they can last longer if maintained well. This includes keeping them clean and cooled as needed with annual air conditioner checkups. Routine maintenance is essential to catch AC fan issues early. An HVAC inspection can cost between $70 and $500, while AC cleaning services may range from $100 to $400.

A broken AC fan motor may need replacement because this part usually can’t be repaired. Several things indicate it’s time to replace your AC fan motor, including buzzing noises, a constantly running fan, unusually high energy bills, or an aging system. If you notice these signs, call an HVAC pro for help before the faulty motor starts to strain other parts of the AC system.

There are clear warning signs of a bad AC fan motor, including unusual interruptions in the fan operation. The motor might be malfunctioning if you hear weird noises like grinding or rattling or if the fan continues to spin when the unit is off. These indicators compromise your AC’s cooling performance and increase your energy costs. Addressing these issues immediately by contacting a trusted HVAC professional prevents further damage and safeguards your HVAC's efficiency.

Replacing your AC fan motor takes a professional one to four hours. The technician will start by assessing your system and safely removing the damaged motor. If a new part needs to be ordered, it might take a few days. Once the part is available, your pro will install it properly and make sure your system is running smoothly.
