"Excellent, professional, and affordable service.  The vendor understood my urgency on getting the garage door fixed ASAP.  He even came on Sunday to replace the old opener with a new one.  He replaced everything: the opener, 2 remote controls, the wireless keypad, the motion sensors, the belt drive, etc.   We had a great service experience.  <br />"

"Overall the experience was very positive. The company was able to make the service call within a couple days. They offered an excellent discount on their website, and the resulting price was reasonable. The serviceman was very professional and personable. There was no attempt to recommend unnecessary services. The garage door opener now performs better than when it was first installed."

"My garage door had been making loud thumping noises when opening or closing for several days. I found a couple screws on the floor and saw that the garage door opener track located on the garage ceiing was no longer connected to the front mounting bracket. I called Rand R and explained the situation. He was in between calls, and even though my location would take him out of his way to his next call, he said he'd be right over. He was there in about 20 minutes. Not only did he reattach the garage door opener more securely than it was originally, but he also checked my second garage door opener to make sure it was securely attached and oiled both garage doors. Very professional, very dependable service. I would definitely use his service again. <br />"

"Quality work. Competitively priced. We needed an architect for a basement project and after getting a few quotes from other companies, we chose Max Parangi Architects - best in care and price. They delivered the plans promptly, had a good understanding of the building inspection process and even recommended local contractors. If you are looking for an architect firm for your home improvement project (big or small), you definitely want to call Max Parangi Architects."

"The building itself is great, good quality.  In preparation for construction we had to make the site level.  We had a contractor come in and build up the site to make it level.  Our contractor created a compacted level site using a modified stone mix as recommended by Pioneer. Pioneer's contract includes a statement that the customer is responsible for cleaning up the site after the building is complete.  When they came in to drill the holes for the poles their machine totally destroyed the surface that we had prepared.  I didn't expect it to be beautiful, and I thought I could rake it out when they were done.  I planned to have our garage floor be the modified stone mix that we had installed.  When they were done it was impossible to rake, and needed a bobcat to come in and regrade the whole floor.  While they showed me a video before construction, the impression I got from the video was very different than what we actually ended up with.  I complained to Pioneer and sent them pictures.  They told me that was the way the floors always end up unless you make a concrete floor.  They were quite unresponsive knowing they had a very unhappy customer.  Then they installed the garage doors.  It turns out the garage doors close down 3-1/2" lower than the walk in door.  If a building has a floor one would think that all of the doors should be at the same level at the bottom floor level.  I reported this to them also.  They said their quality control person would look at it.  I have not heard any response from Pioneer.  Their poor responsiveness and apparent lack of caring makes it certain that I will never use them again."

FAQs for garage door installation and replacement projects in Cooperstown, NY

Yes, you can replace just one panel if your door is sectional and the damaged panel is available. Most modern residential garage doors have four to six horizontal panels that can be individually replaced. However, finding an exact match becomes challenging for older doors or discontinued styles. For doors over 15 to 20 years old or with multiple damaged panels, a complete door replacement might be more practical and visually consistent.

Minor dents or cosmetic damage can often be repaired without replacing the entire panel, potentially saving you money. However, if the damage affects the door's operation, security, or structural integrity, replacement is often a better investment.

For extensive damage to multiple panels or older doors where matching is difficult, full door replacement might be more economical in the long run than multiple individual panel replacements.

Your garage door panel might be repairable if the damage is superficial and doesn't affect functionality. Small dents in aluminum panels, minor scratches, or cosmetic issues often don't require full replacement. However, replacement is often necessary if the panel is warped, has large holes, shows extensive rust, or affects how the door operates. A professional garage door technician can evaluate the damage and recommend whether repair or replacement offers the best value and durability.
