"This is the only fence company I would use. The were super professional, knowledgeable and respectful. It’s been 3 years and I am still happy with the craftsmanship. I don’t remember the cost, but it was super reasonable."

"Sheller and sons did an incredible, prompt, thorough, and honest job on my fence. I had an existing broken chain link fence with a lot of huge bush and tree stumps grown into it. They worked incredibly hard to dig every root and clear the area. The new privacy fence is sturdy and perfect with a custom gate. By the time I hired them the fence was done writhin 4 days! Their pricing was extremely competitive and everyone was so friendly. 10/10 would hire them again and plan on recommending them to anyone looking for work done. Thanks, Sheller and sons llc!!!"

"<hr />  They came on time and went right to work. Started to rain one of them all day miserable rains, they keep working even Al the owner worked with his guys, not to many bosses or owners work with their people, they might check on them but when raining or snow you don't see them. A good company is when someone like Al shows his employees he will do the work he asks them to do the good with the bad. The rain slowed them down, so it took 2 and a half days would have been 2 days for removing and installing new 6 foot privacy fence 270 foot of it. Great job and clean up. Al also told me if I have a problem with any of the fence he will come out to fix it no cost. I received 3 estimates Al was $2000.00 cheaper and his price was right on listed all materials needed for job another company added a lot more materials to get more money, and another company wanted two workers at $ 50.00 and hour for both no total on anything, no limit or job completion it could have been a $ 20,000.00 dollar job???? It pays to check around <br />"

"It took forever. Began first week in October and finished yesterday, 11/6. To be fair, the painting was done in stages because of weather. However, they were unreliable and did not show up when promised."

"The guy who gave me the quote was knowledgeable and on the ball. I wasn't really impressed with the workers. It took them multiple days to do a project that they said would take one day. It didn't turn out the way that they said it would. The owner came back after the work was done. He had them come back and fix some things and clean up. When all was done and said it turned out the way it was supposed to."

FAQs for barbed wire fence installation projects in Coopersville, MI

Barbed wire is a type of fencing made from steel wire with sharp edges or points spaced along the strands. It's designed to prevent unauthorized entry or contain livestock by acting as a physical deterrent. Barbed wire fences are often seen in agricultural settings or high-security areas because they're effective, durable, and require little maintenance.

You can expect to pay between $3 and $6 per linear foot for a barbed wire fence, including installation. The exact price depends on factors like material quality, number of strands, wire thickness, and labor costs. If you have a larger project, bulk purchasing and hiring a professional might offer cost savings.

The number of strands you need depends on the fence's purpose and the level of security you want. For a standard livestock fence, you might use three to five strands. For higher-security needs, you may require more strands to meet your needs. Consider your specific requirements and talk to your fence installation pro to determine the appropriate number.

Barbed wire fencing regulations vary by location. In many residential areas, the use of barbed wire is restricted or prohibited due to safety concerns. Before installing a barbed wire fence, work with your barbed wire fence installation pro to check local zoning laws and homeowner association rules to ensure compliance with regulations.

The lifespan of a barbed wire fence depends on the quality of materials and environmental conditions. Fences made with high-quality, galvanized wire and proper coatings can last between 20 and 30 years. Regular maintenance and inspections can extend the fence's longevity by addressing issues like rust or damaged strands promptly.
