"I was very impressed with the work, good communication throughout the project. Price was for construction of the stairs and purchase and installation of pavers and stone behind the home. I purchased timbers and bricks used on stairs."

"The folks at Godby's service department were great. From returning my first call quickly, to letting me email them a picture of the outdoor fireplace when I couldn't find the make and model information, they were professional, friendly, and got the job done when they said they would. We'll definitely use them for our fireplace needs in the future."

"The work was done extremely well. All of the workers were great, and Kevin, who is the president of the company, was easy to work with. I will comment that they are probably on the more expensive end of the spectrum for outdoor living space, but you get what you pay for and Cutting Edge did a great job. I don't think there is any reason to try to save a few bucks on a permanent addition to your property if it could potentially cost quality in the workmanship. I can confidently say that these guys did not cut corners and made sure everything was absolutely done correctly. I would definitely hire them again!"

"Edwin Holmes had his crew on the job the next day. They tore the roof off of our Cape Cod home and installed a new on the next day. The siding work was completed the very next day. Three shingles along the top of the roof were installed in the wrong direction and the company took care of that as soon as we pointed it out. The shingles we ended up with were of much higher quality than what we started with. All in all, it was a very satisfying experience. Mr. Holmes is preparing a written report for us to use in our lawsuit against Sears Diamond Exteriors for the shoddy work that company did as well."

"The crew showed up when scheduled and we did a complete walk through of all of the work to be performed.  Locations for the new plantings and beds were marked.  We looked at the new plantings and confirmed they were what we wanted before they were planted.  All of the work was done to our satisfaction.  We would highly recommend Noll to anyone who has a landscape project on the drawing board. <br />"

"Loved working with this company. Rod has a heart of gold and he and his workers were very nice and professional. When it was getting close to the time they were getting ready to pour the concrete on the sidewalk which I wanted to design and I wasn't home, Rod worked very hard to find me, and when I returned home, they reconfigured what they had dug to suit me. They were very mindful of building the new driveway to grade for water runoff. The part that connects to the garage is so smooth, I don't feel a bump when I pull out of the garage. They were careful to ask that I raise the garage door while they worked near it so they did not harm it. As a result, I was comfortable leaving the house unlocked while they were here. The new driveway and walk look great! Rod made sure they cleaned up well afterward before asking for my final payment. I highly recommend Rod's Quality Concrete. <br />"

"They are very good and reliable. I have almost two acres and their prices are unbeatable. When they are cutting it is like clockwork. They never miss. It only takes them about an hour. They cut, trim, and blow it clean. They have big equipment to do any jobs."

"Beautiful! It is hard to believe this is the same furniture. I had searched Angie's list for companies to do this work, but none came up. Fortunately, Hoosier Refinishing had inserted a flyer in the Sunday Star and that is how I discovered them. Greg responded to my call the same day and, upon viewing my nine outdoor pieces, offered to do work on one of them...at NO charge...to be sure I was happy with the work before committing to the whole job. I was almost resigned to the idea of replacing all the teak with something else, thinking it could not be revived, so I could not be happier. And, Greg noted that their company also stores and cleans up patio furniture during the winter, so I plan to use that service every year going forward. This is a terrific company that lives up to their promises and delivers exactly what you want."

"TRU Marble recently completed a project installing new granite countertops in our kitchen.  Victor was very prompt, courteous and professional throughout the project.  He was always available to answer any questions we had and guided us through the various steps and procedures during the project.  Victor also made sure we were informed of all the different options available to us. <br /> We were impressed with Victor's crew members Antonio and Daniel as well.  They worked very hard and made every effort to protect our home while they worked.  They also did a good job of cleaning up after the project was completed. <br /> We were so pleased with the new kitchen countertops that we hired the TRU Marble team to install a new granite surround for our fireplace as well.  We would definitely recommend TRU Marble to anyone considering new stone, marble or granite projects in their home. <br />"

"We called Brian Budde and asked for an estimate.  We scheduled a date and time and that's when he showed up.  We explained that we  needed a landscape design that included plants/trees and some hardscape.  He came back a few days later with a great design and ideas for how to incorporate steps and at what intervals to allow building the firepit area as well as plant/tree options to compliment our house and existing landscape.  He listened to us, shared his ideas and if he disagreed with us, he suggested we wait to see the progress and better understand his perspective.  His experience with not only plant knowledge and engineering was impressive, but what set him apart from others we have worked with over the years is appreciation of design, color integration in the space and budget we had. <br /> Brian works by himself which may appear to elongate the time to finish (it took him about 3 weeks but his work was hampered by frequent rainy days), this actually works to the homeowner's benefit.  We could see the daily progress, appreciate what we might want to change and then have time to discuss our thoughts with Brian while the project was underway.  It always gets more expensive when changes are made to a project, but Brian was able to incorporate our feedback and even discuss additional options without having to re-do any work.  A win-win for homeowner and contractor! <br /> In summary, Brian is definitely someone I want working with me to improve my outdoor space in the future.  His sense of style, wide-based understanding in landscaping and hardscaping and his consistent work-style makes him a valuable partner around the house! <br /> <br />"

FAQs for outdoor kitchen building service projects in Crawfordsville, IN

Building your own pizza oven can be a cost-effective option if you already possess the necessary firebricks or materials and have the skills to complete the project. When you have the required supplies on hand, you save on material costs and labor fees. However, if you need to source every component, a pre-made kit may not deliver the same savings.

Fire bricks are engineered to withstand the high temperatures generated inside a pizza oven, protecting the structure from cracking or spalling. Standard bricks can fail under intense heat, potentially damaging the oven and creating safety risks. By using true fire-rated bricks, homeowners maintain consistent cooking temperatures, preserve the oven’s structural integrity, and reduce the likelihood of costly repairs. The modest increase in material cost is offset by longer service life and safer operation.

An optimal pizza oven installation positions the opening exactly between 36 and 48 inches above the ground to guarantee clear visibility and safe, comfortable access. This height optimizes heat distribution and ergonomic use. In addition, dome height can vary: shorter domes produce the signature soft, charred crust of Neapolitan pies, whereas taller domes are ideal for generating the robust baking environment required for New York–style pizzas.
