"Project: Build a 6' round tabletop out of 100-year-old, 2" thick reclaimed lumber, and build a pedestal that matches a design picture we provided. Rich is a very conscientious and careful craftsman. While the overall project took longer than we had anticipated, what he created was exactly what we wanted. We are very pleased with his attention to detail and the quality he put into the project. all pieces were doweled, glued and screwed. Very solid. He added structural elements we didn't request just to make sure the finished piece was sound. We did all the finishing work ourselves. I'm convinced this table will be around another 100 years! Highly recommend Rich's work."

"We found Cody (Texas Custom Wood Works) here on Angie's List and read his reviews and thought we would give him a try. Let me just tell you it is one of the better decisions Ive made. From the very beginning Cody was very responsive to any questions we had, and we had several. We communicated via email and phone. He was always prompt and on time to appointments, if not a little early. We had very particular requests as we wanted modern style kitchen cabinets, not like anything you would find a kitchen store around here. We told him exactly how we wanted it laid out, picked the wood type and the stain color. Cody got back to us in a few days to a week, cant remember exactly, with drawings and a quote for the whole kitchen. We sat down with him for about an hour and went over every detail of the drawings and the wood sample he brought with him. made a few changes here and there. Now we also had already bought a large commercial style sink, like what you would find in a restaurant kitchen, for our kitchen. This is a free standing stainless steel sink. I asked Cody to match the the legs of the cabinets, as they sit on legs without a kick plate at the bottom, to the sink. I told him where we got the sink from, and he said he would go and see about matching them. He quoted us on the whole kitchen and designed the whole thing but we went with just one half for now, we will be using Cody for the second half, just for our own budgetary reasons. His price was great, cheaper than anything else we had seen. He told us about a 4-6 week build time as he was a little backed up. On the day of the install I was at home and was able to watch the process. It was just Cody and his brother helping him install. The cabinets arrived wrapped well for protection, and they looked fabulous. He arrived about 10:30 or so and got right to work. They put the trim in first which he had pre-painted with the paint we gave him. He then installed the cabinets. There were only a couple snags in the whole process. The first had to do with and outlet in the wall, that he had missed on his measures. We decided to move the outlet to the other side of the stud so it would be behind the cabinet and not half behind and half not. They moved the outlet and patched the drywall in about 30 min. The second issue one of the doors on the cabinets had the grain going in the wrong direction. Cody said he would cut a new door and bring it by the next day, which he did and put it on in 5 min. The cabinets look absolutely fantastic. The quality of the craftsmanship is outstanding, beter than I could have imagined. The look reminds me of Henrybuilt cabinets, which if you have never seen them you should look them up as they are beautiful. The cabinets are solid plywood, with red oak facing. I highly recommend Texas Custom Wood Works. I will try and post some pictures if I can figure out how."

"Edgar was excellent! I called his business early on a Sat, he was at our door by 10am. We were  thrilled with the immediate same-day response. He was professional, knowledgeable and quickly determined his approach to fix our dilemma. He transported the sofa to his shop worked his magic on the arm removal and by 3pm our daughter had the sofa in her apartment, all put back together; good quality workmanship.
We would definitely use Edgar again for our upholstery/furniture repair needs and would highly recommend him. 5 stars for sure !! We felt his pricing was fair for the work involved and it included pick-up and delivery.  It was sure cheaper than buying a new sofa ..."
