"We had a clogged drain in a second bathroom that overflowed into the tub. Even though it happened on Sunday night, Bobby Owen was at our home within an hour. The tools in his work van were well organized for easy access, and he arrived fully equipped to fix any problem without having to make a separate trip. Before clearing the drain, he used a snake with a camera attached to identify the exact location of the clog in the pipe. Bobby showed us what the camera had found (before and after) and exactly where the problem was in relation to a connecting drain in the master bathroom. We appreciated the fact that he showed us the clog on camera, explained what we needed to watch for in the future, and then cleared it all the way through to the master. Bobby worked quickly but thoroughly to fix the problem to our satisfaction (which the camera confirmed). He was friendly, well experienced, his price was fair. I have recommended Bobbie Owen to friends and neighbors."

".The technicians arrived on site on time and began by using a camera to inspect the sewer line and pinpointed the exact spot to begin digging. Technicians Jeff and Kyle were very professional in locating the damaged pipe, digging around the area using extreme caution not to damage nearby water lines. They removed the cracked sewer line that had become clogged with roots and replaced the section with better connections and I was very impressed with the quality of their work. I would recommend Jeff and Kyle and West Plumbing and will certainly call them again should I need professional plumbing service <br />"

"Suspecting that I might need to repair my furnace and duct work, I examined Angie's List and discovered the outstanding reputation of Buzzell Plumbing Heating & AC. I gave them a call. <br /> From the first contact to the last worker's departure, this was an example of what home repair should be and too often is not.  The staff who took my initial inquiry were cordial and I quickly received the requested service call.  The technician found that levels of CO emissions were above the legal limit and was, under state law, forced to shut off the gas supply to our furnace. He showed me photographs of the piece that was causing the problem, at the same time noting that my 40-year old duct work was in need of replacement. I asked that he have a sales representative call me and within a day I was contacted by Mark Buzzell.  Mr. Buzzell carefully walked me through the needed repairs, presented several options, discussed financing, and patiently waited while my wife and I discussed our options.  I conveyed our decision and the repairs began almost immediately.  The first day of the repairs, Mr. Buzzell was onsite to make sure that the workmen understood what equipment was to be installed and what additional work needed to be done.  He promised that the work would be done in five days, but redirected unexpectedly free workers from another location and the job was completed in four days.  We were carefully briefed on all aspects of the new system and how it can be controlled through the thermostat.  In sum, the entire experience was marked by a courtesy, timeliness, and professionalism that made a necessary but unwelcome repair as painless as possible. <br /> I would heartily reaffirm the other reviews on this list:  Buzzell's is the way to go for heating and air conditioning work. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"It was good. We only had one small complaint. The connection to the gas line had a leak. We called at 10:30pm at night, they told us a dispatcher was close. But they never came by. I called them, I had to call them three times that night. They did come to fix it the next morning. They were apologetic. The quality of the installation and the work was good."

"Contacted Johnson Plumbing and they were able to respond the same day to repair cut natural gas line. The employee appeared new and called his office throughout his work for over the phone procedures on how to fix the problem. He left twice to go get supplies because he did not get the right parts on the first trip. I was given an estimate of $530 to repair due to expensive metal couplings. The metal couplings were not the right size and were replaced with plastic couplings on the second trip for supplies. Once completed, I was given a price of $578.68. I questioned Mr. Johnson about the price since the expensive couplings were not used. Mr. Johnson gave me an arrogant attitude and tone in his voice about his expenses. He did agree to the original estimated price of $530. I did express my feeling that I felt his high price was based on the and quot;crisisand quot; the customer was in and not based on true operating expenses and normal repair prices. Neither Mr. Johnson nor his employee denied this. I will not use Johnson Plumbing again. <br />"

"Excellent - I called for an appointment and they would have come out the next day, however, they were able to schedule on my day off. The office called about an hour prior to the team's arrival to let me know they were coming. The team arrived on schedule and quickly located my septic tank. They were very careful and skilled with the backhoe and only tore up the minimum amount of grass to complete the job. They provided an assessment of the tank's condition, drained it,checked its functionality and then closed it up. They even did their best to put the grass back in place when covering the tank. The billed amount was exactly what they told me. Total job took about 75 minutes."

"Beware. 3 years ago, my first experience with JSW was second to none. He did the cleanest most professional install on my Bosch on demand water heater that I’ve ever seen. Well 2 weeks ago it stopped working & gave a trouble code that something was wrong with the ignition so I turned the gas off & contacted JSW. His wife told me he was on a job & would get to me if time permitted, very reasonable. The next day I never heard from them. So the next day I called back & was told that I needed to call Bosch & get them to walk me through the repair!? I called Bosch & they told me exactly what I expected, they didn’t want a customer messing around with a natural gas appliance and to have the plumber call them back once he was at the device. Called her back & discussed it with her again & she said she would have him come by as soon as he could. Nothing from them for 2 days. (During this time my wife & I are boiling water in our two largest pots to add for a still frigid bath! She’s a physician & the director of Coliseum ICU... where cleanliness is paramount...). Well we had a week long trip to her mother’s home in FL scheduled & obviously couldn’t have come at a better time, so we had a friend who was going to take care of our pets stay at our house during the day so JSW could get in to fix the water heater. We arrived home 2 days ago to find out they had never shown up!? So I called them & got the voicemail... knew this was a bad sign. So today they finally called back & I actually got to talk to him & he tells me that he doesn’t service water heaters!!?? I calmly asked why I hadn’t been told this in the first place & his wife is yelling in the background that she did tell me that & that I never called her back after talking with Bosch!!?? So I told him thank you & hung up. Never in my life have I been given the run around or treated like this by someone I’m trying to pay for their services! This is also the first time I’ve ever left a bad review online, but this time I know it’s warranted."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Danville, GA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
