"Clayton was understanding of the emergency of replacing the water service pipe since we were without water for several days. I was charged less than some of his competitors might have done. In this emergency situation he was very reasonable, he was reliable and on time and he completed the work in one day. Clayton brought a young man with him to repave the concrete sidewalk and his work was also blemish free. Clayton addressed my question and concerns in a professional manner!"

"The old well above-ground water pump stopped working and they responded promptly with a submersed replacement. The old piping was pulled from the well and replaced with new piping and power cable. The old water filter holder was difficult to use and not secured well; they replaced it, relocated it to free up basement space and fastened it securely to the wall. The pressure tank was also moved to a better location to free up space. The plumbing and electrical were re-routed. The pressure switch and pressure gauge were replaced. They were very cooperative and accommodating to my suggestions and wishes. The cost was reasonable."

"Perfectly! I was delighted again with the professionalism brought to the job (Ryan did the service today). He arrived right on time and got the job done very quickly. He kept the work area clear of debris and made sure to take away all trash when he finished up. I definitely will be using them again if I need any plumbing work!"

"Our tank water heater stopped working during the COVID-19 shutdown, and we decided to have it replaced with a tankless heater. Tankless Concepts responded within minutes to a voicemail left on Saturday, and a detailed quote was provided based on an extensive phone conversation and photos that I provided, including discussion of anything that could arise unexpectedly. The installers arrived on Monday, and the system was installed exactly according to plan, with the job completed in less than 5 hours. They arranged upgrade of the gas meter with Washington Gas (on the same day), removed and disposed of the old tank, arranged for utility rebates, and provided forms to apply for tax credits. The installation was done "contactless" during this pandemic. Everybody was highly responsive and professional."

"The serviceman arrived and completed an assessment of the situation.  Determined the circulator was bad and fortunately had a spare on his truck - saving me a great deal of time.  He had to drain the system and then refill it with fresh water - this was messy and wet - but he did a good job controlling the mess and we vacuumed up the overflow. <br />"

"Shared ideas on the quality of copper pipe to use and the pipe configuration that was most economical while providing new piping necessary for the laundry replacement and the type of piping most likely to prevent pinhole leaks. Rob discussed everything, did a professional job, explained everything he had done when the job was complete, and cleaned up evrything well."

"This guy is awesome!!! He showed up on time and worked hard. He was friendly and communicated all that he was doing. He had a sense of humor too. I teased him that he couldn't be a proper plumber since I didn't see butt crack. He offered to drop his pants a bit. No thanks!!! We all laughed. <br /> We had leakage issues in basement and really strange pipe arrangements. He ripped out the strangeness and replaced it with clean, straight connections that are properly fixed to walls and ceiling studs. It turned out that previous owners had installed the wrong type of PVC pipes on the hot water lines. That's why it leaked if you looked at it crosswise. We now have the correct piping and basement is dry and pretty. And I can run hot water to laundry without buckets on floor to catch leaks. Yippee! <br /> Would I hire this guy again? Oh yes!!! When we're ready to rebuild basement bathroom next year, this is the guy I'll call. <br />"

"Jim Hobbs came out to provide the initial estimate for installing the gas line to the fireplace.  He was prompt and very efficient. I received the estimate by email the next day.  While he  was on the premises, I asked him to look at my furnace air supply and exhaust because they were too close to the ground and in big snowstorms they would become covered and cause the furnace to shut down. <br /> The job was completed when installers were ready for the gas line.  This was all coordinated between the contractors.  HGH installed two cut off valves which provides an extra measure of safety since the one cutoff valve is under the fireplace and not easily accessible when the fireplace is running.  Furnace vents were raised at the same time so I e was on the premises I expect a trouble free winter next year. <br /> The overall experience with HGH was seamless and efficient. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Dayton, MD

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
