"We purchased a house with tall, overgrown grass. A big job to clean it up. Prompt and friendly, he got this done. The yard looked great! He also offers services to spread fertilizer, etc. while mowing, burying drainpipes, and more. We'll definitely be taking advantage of these other services. Highly recommend!"

"They did get the job done. Problem was 2 weeks ago it was clogged with "flushable" wipes and yesterday another wad of wipes. I literally stopped using them before ever calling the plumbers realizing they were the issue. He fixed the clog free this time but insinuated the idea that it was my fault. Unless they got stuck in the pipes on the way to the basement not my fault for the second time. Unsure about hiring again."

"Mayo plumbing is amazing! We called John for a leak from our main water line in our basement. He rearranged his schedule to fit us in & didn’t leave until the job was done. He was able to fix the leak with a less invasive method than what another plumbing company we had already contacted quoted us. Many thanks to John! If we ever need plumbing work again, he will be our only call!"

"Dale is terrific. I was immediately impressed by his knowledge of my situation, and felt like I had a partner in figuring out what needed to be done. I was on borderline warranty situation so he helped me advocate for a replacement by the company (which ultimately didn't work, but that's only because Zoeller is tight on their warranty policy). Realizing I needed to replace the pump, Dale only charged for an installation and not for the diagnosis. That was helpful. He found a way to get us up and going quickly, even though he had other jobs underway. I was really pleased with the work. If you have a problem with your sewer lines, septic or any pump systems, Dale at HS Sewer & Drain is the guy to call. I have no doubts about making that recommendation."

"They will install any brand of water heater you wish, or sell you one that they carry. Person who did the install my heater did give me a heads up of problems with the unit I was buying. I ended up buying a different brand (not from the installer), and quite honestly am much happier with choice I made. Doing addition research did confirm the original concerns with my choice of product so it wasn't an issue of the installer trying to make a sale of his product."

"Apparently they only work through Home depot for water heater installations.  From the phone calls before hand to make sure I understood what would be done, at what cost, explaining the process and details, and advising me of possible variations ahead of time, to the tremendous efficiency and professionalism of the young man that installed the water heater, it was amazing.  When a small glitch developed a few days later with my humidifier, they immediately sent someone out to check on it, to determine if it was from the installation and disturbance to the water line to the humidifier.  They determined that it was, and fixed the problem immediately, and at no extra charge.  They immediately followed through with arranging to have the city inspection performed to get the city ok that it was installed properly.   Quick, efficient and professional.

FAQs for sewer main install, replace or repair projects in De Soto, MO

When installing a sewer line, you should consider extra costs like tree removal, driveway repairs, or patio resurfacing. Hiring a professional plumber is essential, and you may need additional specialists if landscaping or heavy excavation is involved. Addressing these potential extras up front helps ensure accurate budgeting and prevents sudden cost overruns.

To calculate the length of sewer piping you need, measure the distance from your house to the main sewer line, adding the depth of the city main to this distance. Be sure to account for any obstacles like tree roots or utility lines that may require additional piping.

City sewer lines are installed at a lower elevation to prevent unwanted backflow and water damage. This lower positioning ensures enhanced performance and long-term safety, meeting all technical and safety standards.

With trenchless methods, a plumber inserts a smaller pipe within the existing plumbing, avoiding full excavation. It can be more cost-effective and less disruptive than traditional methods, but it's not suitable for all homes.

Yes, you must secure permission from your local water authority before connecting to a public sewer line. This approval ensures your connection meets all regulatory requirements.

Sewer lines are buried between 18 inches and 8 feet deep, with most systems placed between 18 and 30 inches. In colder regions, pipes are set deeper to remain below the frost line.
