"I'm very happy with the results of our work and I think working with Oscar gave a nice balance of service, price, and quality. His prices were very competitive compared to other quotes. I've shared a bunch of detail here because I found it hard to make sense of reglazing services as I was shopping. Hope the review helps you. The end results of their services were excellent. The tub and tile look brand new, and the old cracks and chips have basically disappeared. Service was somewhere between good and excellent when you put it all together, just communication was a bit bumpy along the way at times. Oscar stuck with it until we had a plan in place, immediately followed up to get repairs done where the initial work on some of the crack repairs needed improvement, and immediately offered a discount for the inconvenience. Here are a few things to keep in mind. 1) Oscar will provide a quote based on pictures you send. If you have a simple job e.g. reglaze a tub or tile that do not have any cracks, I would expect this to go very smoothly. In my case we had some repairs that needed to happen and the text communication / quote was confusing and took some time to get locked down. 2) There's not a lot of hand holding so you need to get yourself comfortable with how the process works and the results you can expect. It was new for me, so that took some faith. 3) People talk about fumes, needing to get out of the house, etc. I was surprised how little odor there was. They use a fan to vent the fumes out a window. 4) On that front, keep in mind that they will need to run a flexible duct to a window that is not in the bathroom. We didn't know that. It's messy and we had to clean up the room where the fan was. 5) The repair work to the cracks in our tile needed to be redone after the first try. It felt to me like the initial work was pretty sloppy, but I don't have experience with this so it may be the nature of the process that you need to do a rough finish, then come in and sand / shape the repair, and touch up the paint. You might just want to ask Oscar. 6) The guys who did the actual work didn't clean up after themselves (and this is why I only rated "professionalism" as "fair"). There was dirt on the floors, tape residue stuck on tile, fixtures, and the floor, and paint overspray on walls, fixtures, and the floor that I had to clean up. No good excuse for that - just recognize you may need to do some heavy cleaning after they leave. 7) It was all done in a day, then Oscar came back the next day to do repairs. Okay, hope that helps someone out there!"

"Ken was great to deal with, answering a lot of questions before the contract was signed and even helping us find ways to save money on the project. Although is quote was not the lowest, we went with him due to how happy we were with our interactions with him.

We are very happy with how the floors look. That said, we had a few issues with Liandro, Ken's project lead, and I was disappointed that when I asked Ken if we could deal with him instead of Liandro I was told that he was trying to juggle ten things at once as was really counting on Liandro to fix our problems. In the end Liandro was able to fix things for us, but I contracted with Ken for the project and would have liked for him to be more involved when there were problems. Really most of the problems we had could have been avoided if someone who spoke english had been on hand to talk to my wife as the floor was installed. On the day of the installation Liandro only showed up at the start of the project to ask where we had stored the glue.

Points were knocked off on punctuality because out of the four times we met someone from Floor Gem (quote, material dropoff, installation, and final touches) only one was at the time agreed upon. Ken arrived for the quote an hour early, which was before my wife was home. Material dropoff was more than three hours late with no call (I had to call Ken and leave a voicemail to find out what was going on and lost a day of work sitting on my thumbs). Installation was happily on time, and the return visit to fix some lingering issues was again delayed by hours from the window we were given with no call to let us know things were running late.

I do really appreciate that Liandro and his team worked very late to make sure everything with the floor was good and we were happy. The installers worked very hard and it reflects very well on Ken that he has such good workers on his team. The floors look great and overall this was a positive experience."

"We were extremely satisfied with the result.  Our floors look completely new.  They did a lot of repairs, replaced broken pieces, filled gaps, sanded old wood thoroughly, added new flooring in the closet, applied 2 coats of stain, 2 coats of Polyurethane.  They worked with my schedule. Father and son work together.  They are reliable and work extremely hard.  I highly recommend them.
