"Great service. Called Friday morning and the tech came out that afternoon. The AC had stopped working in our three year old unit. The diagnostic/evaluation fee was waived and the part was under warranty. The cost of labor and installation was fair and reasonable. The tech, Tommy Holten, explained everything as he went along and stated that a maintenance program would prevent this situation from occurring in the future. I signed up for the Premium Protection Plan and look forward to the 24-point tune-up every six months."

"Mr. Ferrell first connected his computer to my computer via internet and worked for quite a few hours trying to determine what exactly was wrong. The next day he continued working from his computer for several hours. He determined he would have to have my desktop tower to complete the repair. He and my son met in Huntsville to exchange the tower. He then cleaned up a lot of what was wrong and reloaded Windows 10. He deleted the D: drive which had way too much memory allotted to it. The tower was returned and I plugged it all back together and it is working better than it did when I first purchased it. I would use him again and I recommend him highly to anyone needing computer updating and/or repair. His work is warrantied and he is very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful."

"The Provider came about 2:56pm and spent about 10 or 15 minutes expecting my unit inside my house and outside-then he said it will be $350.00 for the work to be done. I showed the Provider a printout of what I was expecting him to do, in which he laughed and said he would go broke if he did all those things on that list for $39.00. So my daughter paid the $350.00 even. I asked if he was deducting the $39.00-he said no, that was just for the inspection only."

"I would recommend him. He is good. They put the old unit in 15 years ago and it worked good for a long time. If you call them, they are really helpful and will come out and repair anything. We got bids and they were the most reasonable. They put the unit in quickly. They did a good job and really knew their stuff. They didn't make a mess. They cleaned up and put the old unit away. There were no problems. I will use them again."

"The GOOD: So nice to call a company and get a person answering the phone on the first or second ring and it was a HUMAN. The BETTER: I told them it was urgent they were here in two hours. The BEST: I told them I thought it was the heating element, they picked one up from parts supply warehouse on the way got here. Told me it was NOT the heating element (save your money) call an electrician, it is the outlet. BOOM, mic drop... Further referred me to a reputable electrician who ALSO came out same day. Jason gave me a magnet business card I put on the side of our washer... DEFINITELY the ONLY appliance repair shop I will call for the foreseeable future. P.S. They do not offer discounts, but they also dont give BS and they dont charge you for things you dont need. Best Angie referral EVER!"

"Toole Tech was a great company to work with.  The technician who provided the quote was extremely
knowledgeable.  He performed a complete inspection
of the home, the existing system, and the existing duct work.   I
wanted to add additional return ducts to obtain better balance of the AC in the
home.  The technician made suggestions on
where to install the new return lines based off room size and existing
ducting.  I also wanted a new supply run
to the walk in closet in the master bedroom.
They did not try to sell me anything I did not want or need.  I inquired about electronic air filtration
and they felt these were more hype than good.
Instead they suggested a 4? pleated filter, which offers better air
quality and cost less.  I did my own research
on this claim and found it to be true

The installation process was smooth.  Their office called to confirm the appointment
and the technicians were on time.  The
original install was delayed a few days due to a supply issue form Trane.  The unit I selected was out of stock.  When Trane failed to ship the unit on-time
the second try, Toole tech was able to provide me the next better model up, at
no charge, to be able to complete my installation on time.  Another small delay was caused by the
technician installing duct work in the attic.
This was resolved quickly and the
new system was up and running the next day.

The professionalism and courtesy, was outstanding.  Their advice was solid, and there was no high
pressure sale tactics, or add-ons.  It
was a very good experience and I highly recommend Toole Tech if you have any AC
needs.

FAQs for window a/c unit service or relocation projects in Doctors-inlet, FL

If your window air conditioner is relatively new or of high quality, repairing it can restore optimal performance and protect your investment. However, for older units or those with ongoing issues, it might be more cost-effective to replace the unit to ensure long-term efficiency and reliability. Consider the unit's age, the severity of the problem, repair costs versus replacement, and energy efficiency ratings when making your decision. If repairs cost more than half the price of a new unit, replacement is typically the better option.

Window air conditioners last eight to ten years on average. After this time, you may notice decreased efficiency and component wear. Replacing an older unit can improve energy savings and provide updated features like remote controls and better overall performance. With proper maintenance including regular filter cleaning, coil checks, and professional servicing, you can maximize your unit's lifespan.

If your portable AC isn't cooling, it might have a refrigerant leak or a circuit malfunction that's preventing it from working properly. It's best to contact a local air conditioner contractor to inspect and repair the unit. If your AC is older and repairs don't fix the issue, replacing it might be the most effective solution.

Removing a wall-mounted AC costs $55 to $75. Completing the removal yourself at the end of each summer season, being sure to do so according to proper guidelines, keeps you within this cost range. Should you require professional assistance for removal and disposal, if you can't move the unit yourself, expect an added fee of $25 to $50 to the overall cost.
