"The torsion spring in my roll-up overhead garage door snapped and broke with a horrific sound when I closed the door this morning. So I called for service late in the morning, explained the situation, and was immediately given a timeframe the same day in which to expect someone to come out to my house. Within two hours had a serviceman at my door. I have NEVER had such PROMPT and COURTEOUS service from any contractor or tradesman (plumber, carpenter, etc.) for any home project in the past. Within a few minutes of arrival, the problem was completely diagnosed, and solutions provided, along with cost estimates. The entire repair took a little over one hour, which in itself was amazing given all the work required. I also thought the total cost was reasonable for all the replacement parts provided and work performed. "At first, I called the wrong company by mistake - the wrong company serviceman opened the gate motor enclosure, told me that I might have to either fix the printed circuit board, or replace it, quoting $500 or $900 for a replacement board. After he left, I found the invoice for my installation (done 14 months ago) from the right company, Metal Garage Doors, and called them. They said they would honor their warranty, and they wondered how someone else would charge me $900 for a pc board that costs less than $500. David is honorable, the company does great work, and they stand by their work. I recommend them to everyone who needs garage door services - don't just search on the internet and hire anybody.
