"I had one room completely blueboarded with new plaster and then painted. I would give that a 10. I also had a hallway ceiling replastered and painted. Also a 10. I wanted to paint the walls in the stairwell which had wallpaper. Contractor chose to remove the wallpaper and paint instead of new plaster. The walls weren't in great shape and the painters didn't smooth some bad patch work so I had some areas that don't look great. When I pointed them out and expressed unhappiness, he simply said "Bad walls." So I'd go with a 7 for the stairwell. Overall good job."

"I'm a Realtor and I hired Mike to install wall paper in my bath and paint walls and ceilings in my home. He did excellent work including cathedral ceilings in foyer and master bedroom; he worked with a critical eye; patching settlement cracks and nail pops as well. He arrived on time and was super neat and clean. Another contractor damaged the bathroom wall AFTER the wallpaper had been put up. I asked Mike back to fix it. Not only did he fix the patch job that the contractor did because he felt it was not done good enough, but he did not charge us for his work! He said he wanted us to be happy with the work AND it was not his fault we had to have him back. We insisted on paying him for it, but had to guess how much to give him because he didn't want us to pay. I recommend Mike to all my clients who are looking for his services; he is EXCELLENT, reasonably priced, and I can't speak highly enough about him."

"Our 1920's home has a very tricky dining room with lots of strange angles, windows and built ins with decorative trim that needed to be accommodated. We purchased the wallpaper from Holland with a modern take on old world Dutch Masters paintings whereby the print work is very detailed and has no repeat. So there was no room for error and it had to be lined up exactly right or it would be very noticeable. After reading numerous reviews on Angie's List I knew Scott LaForge was the person for the job. I contacted him and he called me back within minutes. I explained the job, gave him the measurements and sent a couple picture of the room. He provided me a quote on the spot. I was concerned about the intricacy of the wallpaper and whether or not he was comfortable with the work and the quote he gave. Turns out he had just completed a job with the very same wallpaper and wasn't concerned at all. He had a very full schedule (which is a good sign) but scheduled me as quickly as he could. He confirmed again a few days prior and again the morning of with his ETA. He surveyed the job, explained what he needed to do, set up his table and supplies meticulously, and got to work right away. He placed drop clothes everywhere and was very respectful of our property. When he left he didn't leave a trace of him being there. Most importantly the seams are perfectly aligned and the wallpaper looks fantastic. We couldn't be happier with our investment. It's a whole new room. I would hire Scott again in a heartbeat."

"Bill Kocur and his band of merry men were professional, courteous, considerate and skilled in their craft. Some examples: (1) Bill Kocur visited our house before work was set to begin, gave us suggestions for how to handle certain cosmetic issues -- e.g., how to unify rooms by using a similar color -- and gave us an estimate that was very near the final price. (2) We asked Bill to make changes as the project went along; he was accommodating. (3) He and his team installed several panels of wallpaper in three rooms; the finished product is virtually seamless. (4) The paint work is meticulous; the guys even painted our radiator covers to match the wall paint even though we had not put that in the price. (5) He and his team were on time every morning and, when we came home, our house was as clean as when we left. (6) We sought quotes from a handful of local contractors. Bill Kocur turned out to be a couple of dollars more but the finished product was well worth the money."
