"Global Plumbing, LLC did an excellent job on the repipe of our house. They were on time and completed the job in half a day! The crew was very professional and explained everything they were going to do. They also replaced a couple of worn out faucets on our bathtub and in our main bathroom. In addition, they gave me the choice of not replacing pipes that had already been converted to copper, which was much appreciated. The drywall patches they made to the walls were excellent and there was minimal patchwork needed. The replacement of the gas water heater was also completed flawlessly. All of the plumbing works like it should and we have better water pressure and cleaner water than before! Overall, I would highly recommend Global Plumbing, LLC!"

"Konstantine Aselas came and carefully cut the CPVC to install copper piping from the back wall and fit the new pressure relief valve and the brass ball valve shutoff, anchoring the works to the side walls of the narrow closet. He tagged everything, so the installation is as neat and clear as can be. He covered all the floors before he started and made sure things were spotless when he left."

"It took a while to get our schedules aligned, but once we did Ed showed up on time and did a great job. It was his suggestion to bring the shut off valve into the pantry for easy access. The old shut off required crawling under the house about 10 feet to get to it. He also had a better idea for the heater overflow than another vendor (NW Plumbing) and at a fraction of their quote. We did end up with a very minor leak at the shut off valve, but Ed is taking care of it. <br /> We highly recommend hiring Ed for any plumbing you need. <br />"

"I had an exceptionally positive experience with this company. I urgently needed to replace a leaking gas water heater, and they promptly scheduled the job on the same day, even on a Sunday. Their plumber, Austin, demonstrated a high level of professionalism and thoroughness in addressing all issues related to the water heater replacement. The final bill was quite competitive, aligning well with the industry average among reputable companies."

"Robert was so sympathetic, that he called Monday evening to make sure the gas company had turned the gas back on. Then, he surprised us on Tuesday: he had enough time between appointments to come back and finish the job. He installed all new connections because the previous ones were not only wrong, but illegal. And, he installed the transition pipe with the proper floor clamp (missing when the range was originally installed). We are all delighted! Not only was Robert personable, knowledgeable and professional, the job was done perfectly and sooner than expected. (And he cleaned up!) Robert gets 6 stars on a 5-star scale."

"Actually, the services we bought on special were not required, the serviceman did an initial inspection of the plugged yard/driveway drain and found a obscure catch/transfer basin that was plugged, but easily cleaned. He said the money we paid would be credited to any further work if we needed. The company promptly responded once I made the initial contact, and the serviceman arrived as scheduled. It went fine, wish I had looked harder for the plugged basin, just assumed it was a plugged drain pipe. <br />"

"My husband and I discovered water on the garage floor when we arrived home at approximately 4:00 pm on a weekday afternoon. We consulted Angie's List for our zip code area and phoned South County Plumbing. We explained our water problem and if it was an emergency situation a service person could come out that evening (for an emergency fee) or the next morning at 10:00 am. We decided on the morning appointment. At 9:30 am, the next day, we received a phone call from Service Person Marc H. telling us he was on his way to our house; he arrived shortly before 10:00 am. Marc replaced the potable water expansion tank in less than 20 minutes and inspected our gas water heater as well. During our conversation we mentioned to Marc that we have recently been experiencing unusual low water pressure issues in the showers, sinks, and bathrooms inside our house. With my husband along side him, Marc checked the water line coming into our residence from the street, he also inspected the water pressure regulator coming into the house, plus he checked all plumbing in our bathrooms, showers, and the kitchen sink. By the time Marc was ready to leave for his next appointment the water pressure inside the house had noticeably increased and was now significantly improved from what we considered our "normal" level. Marc solved our initial water problems in the garage plus spent additional time servicing our water pressure issues. Marc is an extremely competent and professional service person. If we have future plumbing problems we will contact South County Plumbing, Inc. and ask for Marc again! We are highly satisfied customers."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Eatonville, WA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
