"Our home is about 9 years old and we were quite shocked to have a leak in our main water supply line coming from the street to our home. We contacted several plumbers and listened to their approach as to how they were going to determine where the leak was coming from and whether they were going to repair a section or replace the entire water supply line. After meeting with the different plumbing contractors, we learned different methods of running a new water main line since it appeared that we would need it. We received new pieces of information from each proposal. We did not like living without water, however; since it was a big financial commitment, we did not want to be pressured or feel rushed into making a quick decision. On Saturday evening we sent an email requesting a quote from Mahon Plumbing and much to our surprise, we received a call just minutes after the email was sent. We hired him on the spot. We had lower estimates for the repair. Most people would have used his confidence of a repair and gone with the cheaper proposal; however, we knew that we would incur additional expenses to repair/replace our landscaping, lawn, underground sprinkler system, and walkway. In the end, if we chose the cheaper proposal, it perhaps would have cost us the same, if not more. It may have felt better to spend less upfront, but, in the long run, it was far better to hire the RIGHT person would do the RIGHT job from start to finish. It was wonderful to see our property taken care of with such pride, as if it were theirs. Our grass was restored perfectly and they even did a repair on our sprinkler line. They left our walkway, landscaping, lawn, and underground sprinkler system intact. Not only did they do a perfect job for us, they had respect for the BAY and cleaning up the debris so it wouldn’t wash into the sewer system. Sometimes you pay a little more up front, but it saves aggravation and additional unexpected expenses in the end. Separately every plumber submitted a proposal for a continuous running sump pump. Every proposal recommended that we needed to replace the sump pump. However, Mahon Plumbing suggested that it might only need to be repaired. Only the backflow valve needed to be replaced. "Great. Rob came and looked at the leak and asked me if I wanted him to try and fix it instead of replacing it. To replace it would have required cutting a hole in the stipple ceiling (maybe two) and possibly emptying and moving a China closet away from the wall. Not only would that have cost almost 3 times the final bill but I would have had to hire someone to repair the damage to the ceiling afterward. Rob took the faucet apart, cleaned it up, replaced the washer and screw and all was well!!! Saved me bundles of money and aggravation. Honest people, I would use them again if I have the need."

"Called Clayton at Aqueduct about mid-morning. At first call went to his VM and I hung up to try later. Clayton called my number back within minutes. I explained my toilet drain issues. He said he could be out about 3-5 same day. He asked if I could text my info to his cell phone number. Clayton texted me about 2:30 that he was on his way. He cleared drain from the cleanout for the MB toilet to pipe feeding main to septic. I realized main hall bath was also clogged. We have someone that uses way too much toilet paper and often! "Baltimore City Water Department told me I had a water main break somewhere between the meter at the street and the main cut off to my house. I called three different companies to get estimates. The first company told me yes it is the water main (didnà ¢à  à  t do any testing to determine this) and cost will be $4,000.00 to replace it. Second company told me I needed to replace both the water main and the sewer line (again no testing) and the cost would be almost $8,000.00. Mike Crouse from Atlantic Blue came out and told me he wasnà ¢à  à  t convinced the water main was the problem. He spent a lot of time troubleshooting the issue by cutting off water to various parts of the house and then checking to see if the meter was still spinning out of control. "The old well above-ground water pump stopped working and they responded promptly with a submersed replacement. The old piping was pulled from the well and replaced with new piping and power cable. The old water filter holder was difficult to use and not secured well; they replaced it, relocated it to free up basement space and fastened it securely to the wall. The pressure tank was also moved to a better location to free up space. The plumbing and electrical were re-routed. The pressure switch and pressure gauge were replaced. They were very cooperative and accommodating to my suggestions and wishes. The cost was reasonable."
