"We had an issue with our furnace popping a breaker. Roberto was sent out by Heart Heating & Air to investigate. Roberto did a thorough check of our HVAC system. Roberto concluded the issue was indeed electrical. He was not able to troubleshoot since he's not a certified electrician. However, while checking our system, he found the A/C drain in the furnace clogged with Miller Moths. Had he not discovered the clog, the system could have shut down due to an interlock that senses water backing up in the drain tube. Plus, he took the time to educate me on other aspects of our HVAC system. Greg, Heart's electrician, came up and fixed the issue the next morning. After he got done, he took the time to visit with us for a few minutes, telling us about his Mom, Grandma and upbringing in Puerto Rico. He had us in stitches, laughing about his experience being raised there and telling us about his dear Grandma. We also discussed Puerto Rican food, which we knew nothing about. We'll check it out after visiting with Roberto. Roberto knows his business, he's very professional and has a "GREAT" personality. He seemed like a longtime friend more so than a HVAC technician here for a job. We've had a lot of interaction with Heart after having a new A/C, furnace, humidifier, HEPA filter, electrostatic filter and whole house fan installed. The system as a whole is awesome and all the technicians we've had in our home for the installs and follow up have all been consummate professionals. All have been respectful of our home, wearing shoe covers as they come in the house and most of all, I can tell they all enjoy what they do. When you need HVAC, electrical work, or any other services Heart performs, check these guys out. You won't be sorry."

" Habib, with the Comfair heating& Cooling company upgraded my whole house humidifier. He did an excellent job with both the installation and cleanup. Most impressive was his detailed explanation of what he was going to do and why. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family."

"Gerry installed a whole house humidifier for us and itâ  s working great! This job required installing a 240V circuit, plumbing from the hot water heater to the humidifier, and a drain from the humidifier. Completed in one day and did a super clean and safe install! Iâ  ll definitely be hiring GC to do other work in the future. Very broadly knowledgeable with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC."

"Service was quick and professional. Technician did an excellent job of telling me what he was doing, and explaining common problems. I felt like I was getting good service at an extremely fair price. After the tune-up of both my furnace and HVAC compressor, I saw a noticeable improvement in the energy usage of both from the energy monitor (Emporia Vue) that the technician installed."

"I had Tuscan upgrade the electrical service on both sides of my duplex, my tenant and I were both gone so I had the work done while we were out of town. It worked out great after talking with Armondo I had no qualms about leaving him to handle the work while I was gone. As with any project there is always a glitch or 2, we did not pass our inspection the first time around, but they had a technician out the same day to take care of things. On a personal note, one of the technicians tracked some dirt in on my rug and he took it home and brought it back clean I think that is above and beyond. It was a pleasure to work with them. I had this same service done on another property last year and it cost about a thousand dollars more per unit. My overall option is the office staff was very helpful in answering any questions and scheduling inspections the technicians were professional and for a project of this size it went great. Thank you, Tuscan, and I will use them again and I have already referred them to a friend Thank you Sharon Brendes"

"Very fast response to service request. Nic contacted me <10 minutes after seeking quote, and had my system serviced and running well that same day. Nic is the owner/lead technician and is extremely knowledgeable. Within minutes head able to tell me what was needed immediately and what else I could do myself to address the issue. Rational pricing model reflected his expertise. I received fixed-price quotes from other AC repair firms for adding refrigerant to my system. However, this makes no sense and I would warn people away from services that do. There are two different types of refrigerant and the costs for each are very different. The newer R410a refrigerant costs $4-$5 per pound, while the older R22 costs around $20/pound. By way of example, my 20-year old AC unit uses R22, which as of January 2020 is no longer made or imported into the U.S. My unit can hold up to 103 ounces of R22. So when a provider quotes a fixed price for a charge, they are doing so blindly (they can’t’ know how much you need without connecting directly to your AC). You could pick (based on lowest price) only to learn that what ever they put in your system is not enough for your unit to work effectively. Is your system broken, no! It just wasn’t charged enough. Nic charged flat fee for service call and then by the ounce for the R22 used for my unit. Turns out I needed 43 ounces. I would definitely use and recommend NixFix again!"

"Tipping hat has talented employees that do safe, clean, and complete work! I highly recommend them! We are no longer cold in our house thanks to Mark J, and service pros Jeremy D and David B. Mark J. the supervisor on our furnace installation project was the first person we met from Tipping Hat. He is kind, understanding and respectful. He took time to thoroughly examine our complicated and difficult heating situation and was able to explain what needed to be done and why. All of our questions were promptly answered, he was always available for a phone call and put extra effort into creating a plan and setting up a team to get started on our project right away. Mark was considerate of our feelings, always reassuring us and promptly addressing all of our concerns. Jeremy D. Tipping Hat's Service Pro, provided extraordinary service during the installation of our new furnace! He is punctual, courteous, professional and knowledgeable. We were comfortable with him in our home, as he took great care installing our new thermostat and kindly showed us how to use it. Jeremy was very patient and took time to answer all of our questions. He went above and beyond to ensure that we received exactly what we needed AND he saw to it that the work was up to code and done properly! We are so appreciative of his compassionate understanding of our situation and his prompt completion of a large, heavy duty job that required hours of hard labor. Tipping Hat's Service Pro, David B. was able to complete work on the installation of our furnace in some really tight spaces. He had to deal with a tiny, dirt crawl space underneath the house and was able to re-attach ducts to the vents in our home. He was positive, pleasant and hard working. I feel confident referring others to Jeremy D, David B, and their Supervisor, Mark J."

FAQs for central humidifier installation and replacement projects in Englewood, CO

A crawl space dehumidifier is a worthwhile investment, particularly in humid climates or if you've noticed musty odors, mold growth, or wood deterioration. Though costs range from $3,000 to $9,200, this investment helps prevent structural damage that could require far more expensive repairs later. Beyond structural protection, a properly dehumidified crawl space contributes to better overall indoor air quality and may reduce allergens throughout your home. Consider having a professional assessment to determine if your specific situation warrants this investment.

Addressing crawl space moisture effectively often requires a combination of solutions. A complete approach includes encapsulation plus dehumidifier installation. For minor moisture issues, a basic dehumidifier starting at $1,500 may suffice, while severe problems in larger spaces could require systems costing up to $14,000. The most effective moisture control strategy depends on your specific conditions, making a professional assessment valuable for determining the most cost-effective approach for your situation.

For a crawl space measuring 1,500 square feet, you'll need a dehumidifier with a daily capacity of 30 to 50 pints, with unit costs ranging from $150 to $600. Your local climate and existing moisture levels may necessitate adjusting this capacity—homes in particularly humid regions might benefit from higher-capacity units. Professional installers can measure your specific humidity conditions and recommend equipment that is appropriately sized, balancing initial cost with operating efficiency for your unique situation.

Crawl space dehumidifiers add $300 to $500 to your annual electricity expenses when operating continuously. Energy-efficient models reduce this consumption by roughly 15 to 30% compared to standard units. Most contemporary dehumidifiers feature humidity sensors that automatically cycle operation based on current conditions, helping manage energy usage. Proper crawl space encapsulation significantly improves efficiency by creating a controlled environment that requires less dehumidifier runtime, thereby reducing ongoing electricity costs.
