"The reason I first hire them is to look at the boiler to reconnect the pipe so I can get it tested. The plumber came and he told me he does not do that work. They lock you in with the deposit and so you use it or loose it. The work that was done was okay. To reconnect two 1.5" drain pipes for $450.00 is a lot of crap. I would not hire anyone that would ask for a deposit, for it is the games that they play. Use it and they still charge you more for the job."

"Quick, honest, knowledgeable and efficient. I would strongly recommend this company to fix any plumbing issue. I’ve hired 2x’s and James came to help is a very stressful water leak situation. James actually helped clean up a flood that happened in my basement and gave me instructions on how not to get mold. I called him very late ay night and he came to help me and my son. I’m grateful for his professionalism and honesty in business. These days you cannot trust many people, but I trust him. If I have an issues, this is the company I will use for all my plumbing needs. "Prompt, careful, able to solder joint of cold water faucet for bathroom in a small tight space near wood paneling which he protected with flashing. Considerate of your home as he wore clean liners over his shoes. I'm planning to use him again and recommend him highly for reliability, fairness, and skill in his plumbing trade."

"We had a leak in the pipes in our over 200 year old home, and Jonathan came out in the middle of a snowstorm to check things out and make sure the damage wasn?t getting worse. That alone told me a lot about his commitment. He assessed the situation first, then came back to complete the repair and walked me through everything step by step so I actually understood what was happening and why. With a house this old, that kind of communication really matters. Since we had just moved in, he also helped service a few other things around the house so we could get ahead of potential issues. He clearly knows his trade and takes the time to do things properly. I'm very thankful to him and the gentleman with him. What really stood out was that he followed up afterward to make sure everything was working well. That level of care is rare. He will definitely be my go to person moving forward, although hopefully we don?t see each other again until next year?s maintenance. Highly recommend."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Farmington, CT

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
